Three and a half years ago my wife and I had the great fortune of, completely by chance, discovering a newly opened restaurant on the edge of the old town of Versailles. We knew from the off we'd found something quite special and over the last three years its been a delight to watch a story develop of one of France's great culinary talents not just find his feet, but thrieve, gaining a michelin star in his first year and opening a sister bistro a year after that. Since our fitst visit we have since dined at either Table du 11, or the sister Bistro du 11 maybe a dozen times and on every occasion, we never fail to be impressed. Having been fortunate enough to have dined at 40+ Michelin one or two star establishments, very few can hold a candle to Table du 11. It is, in terms of both service and cuisine, head and shoulders above any other one star restaurant we have dined at and indeed superior to maybe half of the two star restaurants we have frequented. To deliver such consistency, whilst also providing no little invention is indeed a rare thing. In essence if you get the chance to dine here youd be a fool not to take it.

The town(ship) here is not one of the nicest in Greater Paris; very close to Versailles and known to be the dwelling of a few multinational corps trying to keep a budget on office costs per square meter. The spot, within a seminar and hotel complex, is spacious and somehow well kept with some traces of the typical French attitude for the "delabré". On a sunny day that allows you to eat on the terrace at lunchtime, you could feel like in Provence with no big effort. Cuisine is average to good, the standard is kept and, at some price, you can feel allright - given the region.Blackboard menu is normally to consider; some variations to this with no frills in the "carte" are also interesting. Skip cheese which is no extraordinary discovery. Meat is ok, fish could vary. Entrées are reliable. Service informal but: Mr. Chef, please try to vary the salads and ask the dish decorator to keep fingers away from Blasamico vinegar and red pepper grains... too much, too many, too often!

I really liked the feel and look of this place: the indoor room is of rustic style with a fire place, large wooden tables, whereas outside offers a great garden terrasse. The food was overall good and very nicely presented. I was however disappointed with my main course: the fish was not very good and the rice served as side was badly cooked.

We ate here on the second evening of a two day stay in a nearby budget hotel (actually about ten minutes brisk walk). We sat outside where tables were closely packed. It was Friday 24th June and we were shocked and angry following the Brexit decision. The staff were very friendly, as were the two couples on either side of us. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening because the food was good and reasonably priced (for the Paris region) but above all for the way we were made to feel welcome by the staff and their regular local customers.

We paid 84 euro for two: two courses each, one half bottle of wine. I had dried out duck liver on a dried out blini on some kind of pumpkin puree to start followed by three scallops and one very small piece of salmon as a main course. It was one of the worst meals I have eaten in a long time. And 84 euro for two for such poor quality - I will be writing a letter of complaint directly to the restaurant. We are local in the area and ahve tried most all the restaurants in St Quentin en Yvelines. This is one that we will NEVER go back to. The only positive was the service.

It seems difficult to find a good-quality restaurant in St Quentin en Yvelines so we decided to try Le Carre for lunch. We each had the lunch special (16 euros 50) - it was carpaccio de boeuf and a red fruit mousse for dessert. I had a glass of wine and my wife had water. With two coffees the bill came to 45 euros (for two) which is relatively reasonable given the quality of the food. The decor is simple and contemporary - there is an open kitchen. The service was efficient - there were not too many customers when we were there. We will come back for dinner some time soon to see how that is.

I'm not disappointed about the quality of the food and their service, I really enjoyed the recommendations of the hostess; however, I found it a bit overpriced in the end. I consider they are doing a pretty good job, the ambiance is nice and they are very friendly and definitively will go again when staying in the neighborhood.

Quaint traditional French cafe in small neighborhood plaza visited this evening. Offer a classy but approachable interior and a relaxed, outdoor patio near another restaurant and plenty of seating. Arrived on a weeknight while in the area on business...no reservation... and received a warm neighborhood welcome by every member of the wait staff who were delighted to help introduce items on the menu and ensure we were well taken care of. Menu offers a range of classics and innovative dish specials. Favorite dish was grilled asparagus over a savory pastry with foamed cream and herbs over this with a hint of spice...delicious. Many tables taken on an everyday Tuesday evening reminded us further they take pride in this restaurant and all guests. Bravo. Would recommend and would gladly return when in the area again.
