Used to come here nearly 20 years ago. It has changed quite a bit. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive without crowding you. The food was out of this world. When my partners tuna arrived we both panicked as it looked raw but the taste was amazing. The location is incredible with beautiful views across the sea. Highly recommended. Thanks a lot my dear guest. I am extremely happy you enjoyed elia. Come again to visit us

This restaurant must be experienced within the gardens of Masseria Garappa in Monopoli. It is not only excellent for dinner, but the beautiful outdoor gardens are complemented with elegant service. Our food was gorgeously presented and very tasty. The prices were surprisingly good, too. I highly recommend this beautiful dining spot.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant for its local seafood and so, on our first night in Puglia we dined there. It was fantastic. A lovely setting, delightful, knowledgeable staff, including Francesco, our waiter, who was charming. We had orecchiette, the locally made pasta, with turnip head cream sauce (I kid you not) It was delicious! We followed this with grilled local fish including octopus, swordfish, cuttlefish and red mullet. Our final tasting was some local ice cream with a liqueur from Taranto called Il Marzanno.A great meal and highly recommend this restaurant.

Reserved went early, given outside table, A-OK. Ordered a bottle of prossecco brut. Told it was unavailable and was offered a higher priced bottle that was demi sec ( sweet). Server didnât know the difference. We went with by the glass whiteNice carpaccio of fish served with fruit sauce. Upon waiters suggestion we had ordered a grilled fish for two. We waited and waited after 50 minutes and glasses and glasses of wine, voila dried out overcooked fish. With scallopped potatoes on the top with their edges burnt. Chef tries to pass this off as il contrasto... he knew he terribly overcooked the dish. A waste of a good fish after too too long of a wait. They did take a couple of glasses of wine of the bill.We had three each just waiting for the main course.Good place but hyped, with up selling even when not necessary.

Slightly off the main track along a side road, Don Juan delivers a meat based menu with acceptable helpings of seafood dishes. A Spanish menu delivers tapas as starters - large portions so not too many if following with a main course. Tapas varied and tasty main course meats delivered with vegetables as standard (which we found unusual in Monopoli). Service very good, ambience great and seating very comfortable and with only about 40-50 covers outside felt very 'family'. Wine cam be good value or if you want to push the boat out a coupel of very expensive Spanish wines available.

We sat on a lovely terrace service was very good and friendly, good value restaurant. very nice to kids food good typically regional well prepared. good selection of fish and meat, which can be difficult to find in Puglia as restaurants tend to be one or other, here both catered for. We had a very enjoyable evening, we were the only non Italians in the restaurant certainly not a tourist trap! Frequented by local people!

The best of the fantastic food and drink of monopoli. This restaurant filled fast and was dealt with by a smiley and efficient waiter who might well have been the owner. The fresh fish was amazing and was genuinely in short supply- our party of 4 all had the superb fresh tuna and the next table was then told it was done. Don't get put off by the description of potatoes with all the dishes as "baked"- they're far more like sauteed and they were delicious. Had most amazing cheesecake to finish. Highly recommended.

Location on a quiet square can't be faulted. We booked a table and the place was full. It's a bit of a tourist trap. There is a very large menu and the food wasn't always well cooked. Several tables had large groups which seemed to dominate the service. My shellfish risotto was al dente in the extreme. The fried fish and tempura vegetables main course was not good. There were no vegetables and the batter was heavy. Small prawns in their shells which could not be peeled dominated the dish.We were disappointed as we had great expectations for this place.

The restaurant Le Muse e il Mare stands for elegance, professionality and quality. Thanks to our chefs we turn our dishes into real works of art, always keeping the traditional flavours
Quite a few restaurants were closed in Polignano as it was Monday night and this included the restaurant we had intended on visiting.Frankly, weâre pleased it was closed as this establishment in Via Roma was superb.Itâs easy to know when youâve found a good restaurant as the service speaks volumes. Here Lorenzo, our waiter along with his female colleagues were exceptional. The atmosphere was really good, the soft jazz was spot on and of course the food dishes topped it all off. The salads were fresh, the pasta and fish dishes brilliant and the Tiramisu was the icing on the cake!We are in Polignano for three nights and despite the choice of eating places weâve decided to go back tomorrow night.
