Went to Les Tables de Gaspard last August, stayed for two nights and stayed for dinner as well. The room was spacious, with basic comfort. Bathroom was clean and offered basic comfort as well. There was no real breakfast, but coffee making facilities, and there's a good bakery just around the corner. Considering the price for the room, still a very good choice. Dinner was very good though. Really liked the inventive dishes, served by a very friendly and welcoming host, in a superb dining room.

Guillestre is a small town in the French Alpes de Provence, in Guillestre. The restaurant is located in a narrow alley near the central church. Its ground floor features a vaulted ceiling and once must have been home to a small herd of cows. Its upper floor has no outer wall hence its name DEDANS DEHORS which means being inside while actually being on the outside. Its open wall features just beams, and its ceiling still shows a wheel for a rope that in the olden days must have served to pull hay to a barn.Five French culinary bravados operate an exceptional restaurant from the architecture, interior design, sophisticated cuisine to the personal service. The menu is as creative as the menu shell (which once must have served to pull a French Belle into shape) as it was part of a corset. The food was truly imaginative, every dish! And it was as tasty as it looked like! Their desserts were generous, homemade and delicious as everything there. They offered even real whipped cream from cows milk (while most independent restaurants nowadays just serve a dash from the chemical bomb spray pressure bomb). We ordered 1 liter of red house wine that was better than most individual grand crus elsewhere and was to have for â¬19.All in all, we paid about â¬150 for the luncheon table and I must say: "Chapeau Les Bleus!"The Five Bravados operate 2 restaurants in nearby Risoul during winter. Whenever in the area, it is a must to dine at their places to honor their commitment to their creative French "Savoir Faire".

Nice stop for lunch - a reasonable range and well presented. Not rushed so good for a chat and taking time to enjoy friends, relaxation, wine and food. Lots of cheese options if that is your fancy!

After a rather nice welcome, service in less than 5 minutes for a lasagna dish with beef almost all burnt and dry (the oven was probably very effective!), a green salad poorly garnished with cheese and corn, and a local beer which expiry date was 05.25.2015.(we are in July !)As we informed the the boss about this last point, we were answered that the beer was still good and that we would not be sick. On top of that she said that they were allowed to serve products after expiry date. No apology or commercial discount. ........
