Just popped in while on a shopping trip. Not run by Italians and not very good. I did not even finish my Rigatoni Gorgonzola. Wouldn't recommend it. 38 Euro later for 3 sodas, small salad, onion soup, totellini and koche.

Not an attractive building from the outside, not the best cosy Italian atmosphere inside, but the food is exceptional value and pizzas were huge (even the small ones), with home made bases and generous toppings. The risotto was tasty and al dente too, a very lucky find and we left a happy, sated family.

Overlooking Mettlach this restaurant commands a spectacular view of the river and the town. There is ample outdoor seating for enjoying a delicious meal while enjoying the view. The interior is set for formal dining but has a friendly welcoming feel and family meals and occasions are celebrated there on a regular basis so be sure to make a reservation for dinner as it can be quite busy. Lunch there is available on a walk-in basis most days but err on the side of caution and reserve a place for the weekends.Food is well prepared and equally well presented and the wine list while short is very good. Lunch for two with aperitif and a glass of wine was a good value for the quality of service, ambience and food. If shopping in Mettlach this is a welcome pause for relaxation and refreshment.

Stopped here for lunch after seeing the Saarschleife. The food was delicious and plentiful. I had the daiy special which was a combination plate of roast pork, baked chicken, fish baked in a bananna leaf with potatoes and salad. The service was prompt and courteous. Lovely Location. Would definately recommend this restaurant

We started with the garlic potato soup which was very good and filling so we were unable to finish our main courses. Our son was not disappointed when we brought our leftovers home. We were pleasantly surprised they had and English menu even though one wasn't posted outside. The food was very good and the service was great. Just what we were looking for to end our afternoon stroll through the outlet before heading home.

We stayed at the guesthouse located above the restaurant and booked ahead based on trip advisor recommendations. The wild boar and pork in calvados was very nice, while the salad was overdressed. The waiter only had a few tables to attend to but he wasn't very attentive. In fact, there were several people who walked by the restaurant, and waited to be acknowledged, only to give up after standing there for 10 min ( while the staff were chatting inside). We would go back to have some of the meat dishes, but it's uncertain if you'll get decent service!
