Also: Zu empfehlen!

Located in the courtyard of one of the oldest, but immaculately renovated, buildings from the Middle Ages, situated between a great museum and the city library, this very popular cafe-restaurant is known mostly to the natives. Outdoor/indoor seating, the atmosphere of the 16th/17th century, great food, wonderful pastries, excellent service by the owners at reasonable prices offer an incomparable experience to the uninitiated. Since the natives (the "regulars") keep coming back, it is sometimes hard to find a free table - particularly during the lunch hours - although there are plenty of tables available. Café Kunz is definitely worth a visit while spending time in Memmingen - satisfaction is guaranteed!

Benevenuti at the Ristorante al Teatro We look forward to welcoming you to our Ristorante. With us you can really enjoy your pizza, pasta or insalata in a Mediterranean ambience. Our menu offers an extensive selection of Italian specialties, all prepared
We visited here during the day during a very unseasonal hot day. We ordered a couple of Aperol spritzers which I did not see on the menu but after asking duly arrived. I also ordered 1 pizza only and this was lovely and brought in 2 halves on 2 plates for us both to eat, the price of both was good and we had another couple of Aperols for good measure. Later that evening, I suggested to my partner that we go for dinner here as I had glanced inside earlier and thought it looked very old world and might be a good idea. We were not disappointed. I had the linguine and my wife had the carbonara, both cooked perfectly and very hot. A lovely glass of wine from the list which was also excellent. The price was too was normal and certainly better value than in Ireland and I would suggest this is a very good place to visit for anyone who likes Italian food in an authentic setting. They speak Italian of course too.

This was my second time at this restaurant and they did not fail to impress. Everything is freshly prepared which takes time, this isn't a fast food restaurant. I recommend this place to people who enjoy an atmospheric, authentic and pleasurable evening of fine wining and dining. There's a terrace but I found that sitting inside alongside the wonderful smells of the kitchen and the quaint decor most enjoyable. In my opinion the service was perfect because we had ordered starter, main and dessert and needed the wait in between courses to properly reflect on each course. I am sure that I will return in the future!

My wife and I chose this restaurant on the strength of a recommendation of a TripAdvisor contributor and we are glad that we did. The restaurant is not easy to find. It is situated on a retail park probably a mile from the centre of the town. We walked, as we didn't have a car, but a taxi would be a better option if you're not into walking. The restaurant is situated on the top floor , there is a lift, of a rather ugly building, but don't be put off. On entering the restaurant we were surprised to see how busy it was, always a good sign. Obviously they have few English speaking diners as our arrival produced a flurry of activity and we were introduced to the chef Mario "who speaks English".Mario is the guy who will prepare your pizza and cook it for you in the pizza oven in the centre of the restaurant. We were shown to a table and Mario left his oven to help us interpret the menu. We had an excellent meal which was topped of with complimentary glasses of schnaps. The service had been attentive and friendly and we will certainly go back to eat at Restorante Palazzo the next time we are in Memmingen.

I randomly got off in Memmingen because I was hungry. Followed signs for the center of town and parked my car. I wandered around for a few minutes and then came across this delightful restaurant situated beside the canal. They were most gracious...I only speak English and some Italian....and were happy to explain their dishes to me. I tried their regional plate with three different dishes....all very good and fresh. For dessert, I had their apple dessert, which was obviously freshly made. The apples were not overcooked and had a lot of flavor. I did not have any wine here, as I was driving, so I cannot comment on that.

We visited here 3 times on our visit as it is the most central place in the main part of town. 2 times outside for drinks and a little food during the day and once for dinner in the evening. There is a limited menu during the afternoon but still enough to satisfy most people I think. I sampled a local salad dish which was really good and service also friendly and quite quick. English is very good but can be a small problem depending on the server, not an issue though. The second time we were outside, the service was very bad, they were very busy but we were ignored for quite a while. Our trip in the evening was excellent, served by a young man who was very good and helpful/attentive. He did do as all waiters do and upsell me some water which cost â¬4.40 for a 750ml bottle but it was actually excellent with the meal (as well as the wine!) so I can't complain. The food was very good and served well. I tried the white asparagus (for research) and enjoyed it very much. My wife chose the mushroom carbonara again and was praising it, looked good and a decent portion. Service was very good and really I think it would be unfair to let poor service outside one afternoon spoil this review. Overall, a good place to have a meal. Not the cheapest around but the food was good.

Good food, imaginatively presented, in a friendly and informal atmosphere (with a Hallowe'en theme). Max, our waiter, spoke good English and explained the German menu and made good wine suggestions. We went on Tuesday night and returned on Friday. Definitely the best restaurant we ate in during our holiday.

The BarfüÃer craft brewery in Memmingen is a top quality location amid the inner-city of Memmingen. Guests can enjoy Swabian-Bavarian specialties and home-brewed delicious BarfüÃer on the huge and comfortable beer garden or the modern designed restaurant.
Came for lunch with friends. Ordered 3 pizzas and schnitzel and waited 1.5 h to be served... way out of proportion for what the meal was. Food was tasteful, but would never decide to stay knowing how long it would take to be served. Our experience would be better if we would be informed along the way what is the problem...seemed understaffed.Dear syllwii, we´re deeply sorry for the inconvenience and that no one informed you beforhand. We will forward your note to our restaurant manager in order to find out the matter which caused the waiting time.Kind regards your BarfüÃer team
