I ate down stairs which was empty when I first got there but soon started to fill up. A nice mix of people that gave the place a really nice atmosphere. The menu was a bit limited for me but my smoked salmon starter and steak main were very tasty and both done in a slightly different way. Would definitely go again.

Up a side street and worth finding. Menu is simple 3 courses for 31⬠4 courses 35â¬. The food was beautifully presented, delicate contrasting flavours, something very special and to be honest the cheese course isn't necessary. Clearly busy and requires booking later in the evening but we got in just as the doors opened. Star dishes; duck and foie gras starter (served on a pear base), cod main course (succulent and citrus flavoured), then the cremant caramel desert (3 types of caramel).Fine wines too from Burgundy from 27⬠upwards.The staff were lovely too. What's not to like. Already planning how to come back again.

Everything was delectable here, except I thought the sole was a bit dry or overcooked. (Sole isn't readily available in Norway where I live, so I'm not familiar with how it's supposed to taste.) Service was polite and efficient. Attractive chill-out decor with nature themes. The room was a bit too warm (weak air-conditioning?). All the recipes were really impressive and a great pleasure for the palate--I'd love to dine here again!

What a welcoming family restaurant. Coming inside from a cold rainy night was wonderful. The delicious smells, the decor and the smiling hostess made this cosy place immediately very appealing. The food and wine didn't disappoint. Both were extremely good. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Au Buffon chez Eddy.

We tried to walk in on a Friday night but no luck, so we made a booking for Saturday night. This place is amazing! Itâs a cute little cosy place, with outdoor tables perfect for a warm evening. The lovely owner spoke a little bit of English, and was very welcoming. He was able to suggest a bottle of lovely local wine. The escargot was absolutely delicious! We also had a cheese, meat and vegetable platter, and also the smoke salmon blinis. We loved the escargot so much that we ordered a second plate, followed by 2 more glasses of wine. Great value at 60 Euros. Just make sure to book.

The Restaurant Stéphane Derbord is found in the heart of Dijon and offers a creative cuisine, rich in the flavours of Burgundy.Tuck into dishes such as Bourgogne snails; frog's legs risotto; fillet of Charolais red label beef; roasted rabbit with thyme po
Recommended to us by a local, who asserted that the restaurant offered a more enjoyable meal than the Cityâs nearby Michelin two star. We phoned and were lucky to get a cancellation. Although appearing a little formal, the restaurant also has an ambience of a family concern. The food was a delight. We went for the Euro 55 menu. The duck foie gras was outstanding with imaginative sides of a brioche with a citron confit and a citron macaroon. My lamb main course was a positive wonder. There followed an arrival by cheese cart (or wagon in the case) which extensive selection. The âFraiseâ dessert was just a first finale. As a post dessert selection also arrived to cleanse the palate. Iâve often walked out of Michelin starred restaurants with a slight feeling of unappeased hunger. Not in this case however, after such splendid conviviality, I could have done with a golf cart to return me to the hotel.

During a visit with the vigneron Jean-Michel Guillon in Gevrey-Chambertin, he recommended we try this relatively new restaurant. We're glad we did. We had a lovely luncheon outside on the terrace and enjoyed freshly and thoughtfully prepared food. What really stood out was the service. The restaurant is run by a mother-daughter team that is focused on the care of their guests. I ordered a glass of wine and the lively younger member of the team, who knew we had visited Domaine Guillon, asked I might leave the choice to her. To my delight, she brought a glass of M. Guillon's wine. The restaurant is open only for lunch. It was a great value for the quality of food and service, and a relaxing stop for a leisurely lunch.

When we planned our Burgundy trip Fixin was certainly not on our roadmap but it should be included in any Burgundy wine road trip. The old 12th century church, the few old houses and certainly this restaurant. Young, fresh and very friendly service and excellent food. If ever we come back to Burgundy, this restaurant is a must eat again!

Let's start with basics. 105 euros for 3 adults and one child including a bottle of Aligote (superb) at 16 euros. £84 in Sterling. Let's go to cuisine. Superb. It's cordon bleu, it's got flair without flounce. A cold amuse bouche of smoked salmon gespaccio. Dijon escargot full of depth and intense flavour, lamb with a fine herb sauce, fillet with a stunning epoisses cheese sauce, A 2 fish platter. Apricot tarte tatin. Add great service. Add great ambience despite its setting, on a main road out of Dijon. Stuff michelin pretence, and michelin prices. Try this, detour for it. Kids welcome, dress code not applicable. It's Burgundy food at its very very best. All previous reviewers were right. They got me here and for once I agree 110%. 2 huge boxes ticked .......1. Massive value for money2. Fantastic food. How often do we get both those boxes ticked at the same time?Do the detour. It's worth it!

Welcome to the Smart, located in the very heart of Dijon, this establishment offers a restaurant awarded "Mâitre Restaurateur", a music bar and two nightclubs in ancien vaults, one of which can be rented for private parties. A unique concept in Burgundy
The Restaurant was ok, but first to say i would never go back and recommend the place. The host didn't take are coats, but all other guest. we had to wait 30min to order drinks, they ignored us, i guess because we were not french. they did ignore us most of the time. the food was not so good, its french cousin and not my favorite. the hotel we stayed at recommend it to us, but i think you need to be local to have a nice dinner at le smart.
