This restaurant was recommended to us by the reception staff at our hotel. It is situated on a roundabout but strangely that doesn't spoil things. It is a traditional Italian restaurant and you really need to speak some Italian to be understood. The matriarch is eccentric but lovely. The food was good but very expensive for its location

Sadly the only two things this place has going for it are the friendly waiters and the fact that it's busy. The food however is totally not up to par figuring this should be the 5th best restaurant in town. The menu's are sticky and the whole place looks somewhat rundown. Our choice of foods were swordfish and brass. Fresh fish is very simple: you put it on the grill and deliver a tasty dish. This concept has escaped the chef however. Both dishes lacked taste completely. Also the wine menu isn't too elaborate and the wines on it are not of high quality. The housewines (we tried several in hope to find a good one) just weren't any good. Service by the boss is however very friendly and he was kind enough to bring a heater when the temperature went down during the night.

Me and my family came this time for my momâs birthday celebration. Food truly was amazing...especially the spaghetti with prawns...TDF! But...our celebration together with party mood was ruined. 1. Very slow...restaurant was max 60% occupied, but we had to wait for everything very long (even for the check)2. Moreover we had to ask several times for ice, the bill, forks...etc...we waited 10 minutes before someone noticed my raised hand and I could ask to bring the desert menu for our table (our youngest one was half asleep by then)3. Wine...we always had to ask, in the end just poured it ourselves...as staff was not attentive at all, which I believe is unacceptable at this level of the restaurant, and especially when the table is covering the check for more then 700â¬.4. Every meal was brought to the wrong person, to be honest itâs totally not a problem, I donât want to seem picky...but it just confirms my words that personnel was quite careless. Only one lady seemed nice, who brought out the cake.5. While having amazing wine list, with beyond reasonable prices...cocktails menu doesnât exist, so be prepared when you will order Aperol Shpritz to pay 20⬠per drink (i mean seriously?)6. Last, but not least...my mom has an allergy, she canât drink alcohol, but surely on her birthday she wants to raise a glass with everyone, so we brought a bottle of non alcoholic kids champagne for her, as there were non of such kind in the menu. When the bill arrived, we were charged 50⬠for our bottle. First, you need to inform your guests, instead of saying âYes of course, no problemâ when we asked if itâs allowed! Second...I do understand such a charge when you bring ALCOHOL, for example a 300⬠bottle of wine and pay 50 as a cork fee...but itâs basically a soda in a champagne shaped bottle...which costs 12â¬...this is quite greedy, in my opinion. Overall...food 11 out of 10.Service...3 out of 10.All the waiting and irritation with less then an average service ruined our mood. Before, âBistroâ was the first place we went to while in Forte. After today...I donât think that I will come back...even for that incredible pasta. So sad...that all the hard work of the Chef was destroyed by the waiters and lack of hospitality. P.S. The one lady was nice, the guy was with an attitude.P.P.S. The check for a family of 6, with just one ordered bottle of wine and a few cocktails: 700 + â¬.P.P.P.S. Just letting you know to count on the cover charge per person: 7⬠. However itâs totally worth it, as the restaurant treats you with lots of delicious compliments.

We visited Il Circo at the recommendation of friends. It is a couple of minutes walk from the main square in Pietrasanta, and we went a little earlier than most Italian diners, so were the first there, though it was full shortly afterward. We had foie gras in an orange sauce that was to die for and my husband's pork had slow cooked for 48 hours and was amazing. The couple who own it are a fantastic team, he in the kitchen, she in the dining room. Wow!

This is one of the better pizzerias in Pietrasanta. We ate the most delicious focaccia topped with prosciutto crudo and formaggio. Don't pass up their salads, as they are better than the usual mixed salads in Italy. Would definitely return here. Make sure to sit outside and people watch, but make a reservation from May to October.

We had a hard time finding this restaurant as there is a narrow dark countryside road leading to it. But we forgot about it once the waiter got us to our table. The views were terrific, you can the whole coast line, and a table was set on a secluded terrace. Even though the menu is pretty short, once our dishes were brought we all had a continuous "foodgasm" chasing food with nice bottle of Sassicaia. If you like small cosy restaurants with a great food, this place is a must visit.

We discovered this restaurant on our last night, so pleased we did.. Unusual menu..Very attractive inside and out with a cool blue nautical ambience.. Quirky odd chairs around the tables and nice lighting.. The service was very good and the food was well presented and tasty. I had the Red Tuna and my husband can recommend the fresh Ravioli. We couldn't manage dessert but the menu was mouthwatering!

The Ristorante-Enoteca ALEX at Marina di Pietrasanta tastefully interprets both food and hospitality while privileging new flavours; all in perfect harmony with its surroundings. A culinary oasis just a few meters from the beach, its recognised quality ha
I went to Ristorante & Enoteca Alex as I was looking for a good fish restaurant to go with my wife and Alex was recommended to us by some friends. Both my wife and I are foodies so we really pay attention to the places we go eat. The ambiance is very nice and welcoming. When we got there we were welcomed and given a table on the outside terrace as we requested when we did our reservation. We didn't have to wait too long to get our menus, water and the bread mix with an interesting anchovies' butter spread. The MENU: you can tell it is a restaurant specialized in fish but there are several options for people who look for an earthy alternative. WINE: The wine list is very thorough as the place is also an Enoteca. You can name any of the top labels and a special vintage and you most probably find it. The good thing is that if you do not want to spend too much you can find a good price/quality ratio alternative.FOOD: We started the crudo di mare (raw fish) and Shrimps in kataifi pastry on avocado cream. We both were very impressed by the fact the fish was left pretty much natural but was very tasty and balanced. Meaning this the fish was super fresh. As main we had the Spaghetti allo scoglio (spaghetti with seafood) and Ricciola di Fondale (blackfish) on a squid ink potato purée. Both mains were perfectly balanced in texture, taste, temperature and cooked to perfection. To finish sorbetto (try Melone and Peperoncino) for both and coffee.SERVICE: The service was accurate and the personnel very nice and professional in both manners and look. OVERALL: The overall experience was great. This is definitely a place we will go back to.
Where to eat Italian food in Marina di Pietrasanta: The Best Restaurants and Bars

We enjoyed dinner at Blanco and loved the atmosphere and sophisticated vibe. It was lovely sitting on the terrace on a warm September evening. The meal started off brilliantly - the ravioli and "deconstructed" lasagna dishes were outstanding. Our main course filet of beef was excellent too and good value at the price. The only disappointment was that service lost momentum after that and it took forever for our desserts to be served. Generally the service could have been sharper. The chocolate fondants with the promised runny insides missed the mark by a mile. I wonder if they had been sitting on the pass too long? The chef sent his apologies but it's a shame that the meal finished on a slight downer. Nevertheless we enjoyed our meal and suggest you give it a try. Dear Sirthank you very much for your opinion that for us it is very important to try to improve our services.Excuse me for the cake: next time I will present you free of charge. My best regardsPaola
