Staying close to Torre Suda this rapidly became a favourite with the pizza eaters amongst the family. The pizza here is excellent and good value with a huge range of toppings and sizes (up to 1 metre long!) available - clearly a favourite with italian families holidaying here judging from the people in the restaurant. The rest of the menu is perfectly acceptable but the pizzas probably represent both the best dish they do and the best value for money of the options available.Prices are typical for the area with a per person cover charging removing the need to tip (either at all or very much). There is no significant mark-up on the prices considering the the restaurant has a prime location right on the beach.Italian seaside locations in August are usually fairly manic and this is no exception but the staff get to everyone in time and food is delivered promptly - pizzas in particular tend to arrive very quickly (i.e. you might get your pizza before your starter) but that's not unusual in restaurants locally. Try to arrive before 7pm to get the tables with the best view.

the atmosphere of the hotel is lovely, and the roof terrace-restaurant is very romantic. The staff are extremely attentive, and the cocktails on offer are excellent. However, having travelled all over Puglia and tried the best food Italy has to offer as a fraction of the price, DolceVita should be ashamed of what they serve and at the extortionate prices. The famous Gallipoli red prawns are nothing special, and everything is served as big-plate small-portion food, going against the Pugliese idea that food is not pretentious.Skip the food, and go for a drink instead.

The terrace is overlooking Gallipoliâs beach and the view is breathtaking. Good friendly service. Short menu indicates fresh produce and fish. We recommend the raw gamberoni viola and the revised parmigiana di melanzane. Perfect lunch spot and I am sure dinner is just as good. I recommend it and will return. CIAO

Unassuming bar tucked in the first back street from the harbours edge hides a large open courtyard subtly lit and carefully furnished with artful mixed fabrics. Hidden from view via tunnels of plush padded seating areas, the music wafts through each space enticing you to find the area that fits you best and explore a taste bud expression of flavour by picking one of the many cocktails on the menu. Chill, chat or choose a nibble from the menu, anyone can be a cool cat in this pad.

At the arriving the waiter described for us that the restaurant was a wine bar with sophisticated kitchen and finer food.We got surprise to see on the menu canguroo, well not a Salento product, so we wondered why?We decided to order an Hamburger, really badly prepared and poorly served.Deep frozen, precooked meat, Angus Beef they said. Served with only French fries, no buns, no sallad, not even a slice of tomato or any dressing at all. I suggest the management to have a look on Google how a hamburger should look like.Broad beans pure with squid was ok, too pricy for that small amount of squid. 14 Euros, being a starter. The wine list was ok, nice wines, but unfortunately hard to pair to any food. Another suggestion is to remove all the plastic plants, it look sad and it gives a cheap atmosphere. Sophisticated is not the right term to describe this restaurant. Exactly what you want and what you expect from a bid gourmand rated restaurant. Food is great, fresh and local ingredients and the chef is great in combining them together. I could eat here one week in a row. Staff is nice.
