My husband and I joined friends to have a final evening meal post-World Championship before travelling on to Portugal. The restaurant was able to accommodate our large group, and provided bread for the table. The menu selection was overwhelming (English menus available), and the meal was excellent. The only complaint I had was that service in trying to pay our bill seemed disorganized and I had to beckon several staff to find out where to pay. Other than that, a fun evening with great food and friends.

These people knows very well what they are doing back in their kitchen.Local ingredients, specially sea food and fish from the Rias of Galicia, local Galician cuisine, you can't go wrong with Alameda. The service was incredible, prices affordable, they even help us design the rest of our trip through Spain! If I ever go back to Pontevedra I' will definitevely go back there.

Last 2 visits staff certainly disappointed me forgetting orders or waiting for excessive amount of time, unfortunately this place won't be back to my top list

I came on a week day at 14:50 and the 2 options for the second dish of the daily menu were gone. They provided 2 alternatives that they were not as attractive. First dish was the risotto, which totally lack flavor and was basically white rice with mushrooms. Second dish was swordfish as an alternative to the tuna, which was very well cooked. For desert i got the brownie with cream cheese which was excellent. The service was very kind but a little slow at times, but overall a good experience and it looks like the place has potential. Maybe i should try it another time and come earlier to avoid expiring options. If i had to rate after 1 dish, average-poor, but the 2 last disher made improve my rating

My son and his wife live in Pontevedra, as we were visiting we decided to eat out and they took us there. Magnificent choice! We asked for something to share ending up with "empanada de zamburiñas", "covered eggs", goat cheese ice cream salad and, finally, a cheese selection which the owner personalize for your personal taste. To go with our food we asked for a local red wine from Monterrei which resulted wonderful.I have to say that everything was absolutely great, specially the cheeses.I truly recommend this place if you like great informal food in old Pontevedra downtown.

Galician products with "Loaira Style". A wide variety of local wines from smalls and singular vineyards.
Group of 10 and we had booked earlier that evening.Menu at first appeared limited, but our waiter explained the various dishes and how many to order. All the food and wine were really good, however the gambas were especially worthy of mention.Cost â¬75 per couple

We stopped in the lovely little cosy bar of this restaurant which has the main restaurant tables on a terrace overlooking the sea and the bar in a cavelike room on the other side of the alleywayFriendly service and to accompany our drinks we chose a couple of plates one of padron peppers and the other steamed clams. Lovely chunks of bread came along as well to help soak up the broth from the clams. All simple and delicious. The plate of padron could have fed four but we tucked in anywayThe restaurant looked great for a bigger meal and the bar was perfect for a lighter snack and drinks. About half way along the main sea front alley way

Our hotel receptionist at Hotel Avenida Pontevedra told us try Casa Roman seafood restaurant. The restaurant is easy to find - walk towards the old town - same street as hotel - walk under the overhead bridge- keep walk straight the restaurant is located on the left. I suspect this is a local favourite. Loved it instantly. Great vibe. We ate in the tapas room - there is a main restaurant which begins serving from 9pm. The tapas bar seems to be where people want to be. The tapas selection is quite extensive and although the menu was in Spanish- good old Google translator filled in the blanks. We started with a salad, then scallops and on to prawns. All delicious dishes washed down with excellent Spanish wines from Rioja. Including bread, 2 glasses of wine each, 3 Superb dishes and wonderful atmosphere thrown in - For only 35â¬. We particularly liked the small touch of complimentary tidbits that the wait staff offered around. I want a restaurant just like this at my front door. Well done Casa Roman - youâre a star

Pepita is born with a clear objective: revolutionize the traditional hamburger. We simply bet on first class meat made on the grill, accompanied by the best and freshest ingredients, combined in a surprising way. This is not a fast food establishment but
This place has a great variety of burgers with many meats and toppings. Our burgers were fresh and tasty. No filler in the meat here this is a good quality burger! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant.

Our Sunday night meal here was superb. It was surprisingly quiet. The complimentary starter of prosciutto and cheese and a touch of sweet sauce was really tasty. We selected just mains- a spaghetti and a tagliatelle which were both enjoyable. House red, a rioja, was good quality at a fair price. Then the expresso and limoncello were complimentary. We would recommend this restaurant for anybody looking for some genuine Italian cuisine in Pontevedra.
