The service was very bad with the waiters pushing for us to order and not being very helpful or patient. The lobster was overcooked. The steak was raw, we asked to cook again and they served it hard as a shoe and then they blamed it on us.Good morning,I am the manager and chef of the restaurant, I have no knowledge or recollection of such a situation or problem as you describe it. Are you sure it's all in my restaurant?cordially

What a great spot this is! It bustles with life, the food is good, and the servers quick, pleasant and speaking a fair bit of English. We ate there twice. On the second occasion I wasn't feeling great, and the server made up a little plate of rice and salad which was just perfect. Delightful ambience and reasonable prices. It was hard to tear ourselves away.

I loved everything about la balaine rouge: the relaxed atmosphere right by the sea (i almost wished they had hung a hammoc somewhere for me to enjoy my coffee in :o), the attentive service, the freshness of the food, and the beautiful way it was presented. The delicously flavoured fish tartare came in half a coconut shell, the salad was lovingly garnished, and the fantastic home made potatoe wedges were accompanied by a delicious kind of mayonnaise. While not pretentious, this is definitely dining on a much higher level than we usually encountered on guadeloupe & co.
