Small shop situated at street junction in small village but very convivial with very enjoyable products, not just alcohols. Aime or rather Jeremy knows his stuff and is very good at sharing his knowledge simply and genuinely. Had the chance to be there for one of the musical thursdays nights with a live music and it was great simple enjoyment. We did not try the tapas and other food offerings on the night but they all looked very nice. We even ended up dancing in the street, much to the embarrassment of my teenage daughter. Prices are fair even when products are enjoyed "sur place". Well done "Aime"!

My wife and I first discovered le Patio du Vallon in 1999 when we had just arrived jet lagged and hungry at a house we were renting just outside of Merindol and while walking through the very quite village we heard noise from a second floor terrace, le Patio, and shared a marvelous pizza and a carafe of wine in a very pleasing setting. We return to Merindol in June and September each year, and our first dinner is always a pizza and a carafe at le Patio. Then, over the course of our two weeks stays, we will eat at le Patio at least 2 or three more times because the chef's talents extend well beyond pizzas. He also makes the best lasagna that we have ever eaten, actually two varieties, bolognaise which my wife prefers and "lasagna brouse", with eggplant, that I prefer,he makes a very good cannelloni, and he makes terrific deserts. And the prices are reasonable to the extreme.

This is a good countryside restaurant where you will be served a proper though unpretentious meal. There is a nice and intimate terrace on the edge of Alleins. The staff is welcoming and kind. They proposed a "formula" with lotte, vegetables, salad and rice. We both had this dish, that was well prepared and fresh. My starter of foie gras de canard was very skilful prepared and a delight. Our request for a piece of breaded and fried Camembert as a dessert was honoured without hesitation, whereas it was not on the menu. We enjoyed a nice French countryside meal, that under normal conditions would have been a reason to go back. However, there was a severe glitch in the evening. From the moment we came in, until we have left there was a cat (later two cats) sneaking between the tables and the feet of the guests to beg for food. The staff of the restaurant declared that this were not there cats, but also didn't do much to get them out of the terrace. They apparently knew the cats and were more or less accepting them. For us this is untolerable and therefore we will not go back and therefore 3 in stead of 4 as a judgement.

We have stayed nearby for 7 years 2-3 times a year but had never visited Le Repaire as we didn't know of its existence....however having discovered it this holiday we were not disappointed! The restaurant is in old Vernegues, destroyed by an earthquake in 1909, in the only remaking building and there's a beautiful terrace where you can dine outside. We all had crepes - smothered in chocolate, chantilly etc- and they were gorgeous. We'll definitely return!

"100% local, 100% homemade " Good : delicious fresh food always in season is the cornerstone of our efforts to maintain our culture and our identity Homemade : never frozen ! We are preoccupied with choosing the best quality ingredients which we transform
We visited here towards the end of the season and it was still very busy with locals which tends to give you a good idea how good this place is. The setting is a lovely old French Manor House , sympathetically decorated with modern art but retaining its character. We were lucky enough that the weather was still good and could sit outside under the pagoda. The menu is fairly short , which I prefer and consisted of a could of a couple of beef dishes, a fish dish and a pork dish with a veggie option. Being far from veggie , I opted for the beef carpaccio with parmesan Ice cream with steak tartare . My fiancée opted for tomato carpaccio and the entrecôte steak. To finish , we had a peach soup and chocolate fondant. Everything was cooked / prepared to an excellent standard. Service was prompt and attentive without being overbearing and the waiters spoke English where required. If we could be very critical , the tartare had a little too much parsley and the chocolate fondant was a little 'over' but did not detract at all from the evening. We would definitely return! Many many thanks

The beautiful shady terrace is an excellent location to relax for a delicious meal on a hot day. I had the salmon tartare with goats cheese and it was excellent. The ice-cream dessert is enormous with homemade apricot sauce. The staff were lovely and very attentive and provided everything we could have asked for for the kids. There's a shady playground attached to the car park which is great for a run around after lunch.Definitely be back!

The Moulin de Vernegues is a historic hostelry at Pont Royal, surrounded by lush trees, Roman ruins and a Golf Course. There are two restaurants in the main house. The Bistro and the Gastronomic Terrace. We chose the Restaurant "La Table du Moulin" and enjoyed excellent wines with Duck Foie Gras and Royal French Pigeon. Try the Chocolat Michel Cluizel for dessert. The service was smilingly excellent and we lingered over our drinks for far too long - under a tanzanite sky, and not wanting to bring the evening to an end. This was our fourth visit.

As noted the decor is not good but we sat outside with a good view of the Luberon "mountains" - OK the TGV does run close to the back of the restaurant and it can rumble a bit.The food was good and the service was charming and we will definately go back!

Due to a water damage at my originally booked hotel, I was moved to the Auberge du Vieux-Port and very pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk as the transfer was a very easy process. The room was quietly located facing the back alley, which for my needs worked out just fine as I did not spend too much time and was out an about most of the time. The room although being on smaller side for North America standards offered plenty of space, a very comfortable bed, seating, great bath amenities and best of all - a Nespresso machine - essential for coffee addicts. Breakfast was part of the package and tasteful, it could slightly improve to add a small counter for self serve instead of prepackaged jam, etc. Need to point out the staff was amazingly friendly!

Du petit déjeuner au goûter et aux glaces, du repas de midi aux tapas du soir, nous vous attendons pour un moment de convivialité.
The Tour de France passed by Mallemort between 3 and 6 pm on the day of our visit . Le jardin provided the perfect bookends to our day : a wonderful lunch in the garden, fresh delicious and generous salads, a walk down to watch the race with all the excitement that entailed, followed by happy hour and tapas in vast quantities afterwards . Tapas served promptly and utterly delicious : of particular note the squid and broad beans .
