We ate here rather than away from the hotel and were very pleased with the dinner. I had the special which included 3 courses for a reasonable price and plenty to offer some to my husband. The quality of food, the atmosphere and the service we're excellent. The prices were very reasonable for this area. We stayed at this hotel for 4 days and utilized this restaurant for breakfast each morning and one late night meal. We found the service and food very good. Staff was polite, professional and friendly, willing to offer recommendations on the meal. The staff just enhances the quality of the meal. A very good dining experience.

Had this pasta and it was superb!!! Service was quite slow but it was because he was all alone. Considering the restaurant was full, he was doing a great job!! Would definitely want to return!!

Staying at the Hotel Poppi with Cosmos tours was the low point of a month away from home We sought a restaurant near this isolated hotel 20 kms from Venice. The Hotel Ristorante Poppi was the only option for over a mile. We ate in the bar as the a la carte menu was very expensive. Few choices in the bar restaurant coming from the same kitchen as the expensive restaurant Food was greasy, small portions and no ho. WE blotted the "pork steak" with napkins to remove the floating oil on it. The second dinner was Poppi's 20 Euro buffet. Disappointing with one meat casserole to put over white rice., salad makings, a dried out pasta and some vegetables. The soup was nondescript brown "vegetable" soup left in most bowls on the tables. Desert was defrosted cake. Nothing appeared Italian about this meal Most at out table left hungry from this unappetitsing . mass production. All beverages were extra money No one would return to this meal. Sandwiches bought on the road in our rooms were better.

Great service and very welcoming. This is a meat restaurant through and through, not one for a vegetarian ! Loads of different cuts of meat available, you choose from the chiller cabinet on display and it is cooked to perfection with different peppers sauces etc to go with it. Even the chips were brilliant. Would definitely recommend to others. Thanks

Plenty of places to eat in the area but found this gem of a place. Had the Carbonara which was excellent and my wife had the tagliatelle bolognelse, just as good. Service was fantastic and very reasonably priced. 2 mains, 2 deserts, 2 alcholic drinks and water for less than â¬60. Would highly recommend for a good evenings meal.Thanks

Poppa runs the front. Momma's in the kitchen. Daughter is server. If you happen to be staying in Mestre while visiting Venice, this place is a diamond in the rough, Family owned and operated. Across from Mestre train station and convenient to local hotels. There arent a lot of good Italian restaurants near the train station. This place is definitely one of them. We had the seafood pasta which came with a mountain of fresh mussels, clams, octopus, prawns and shrimp served over a thick pasta which we had not had before. Literally too much to eat. The house red, served chilled was wonderful at about 4 euros per liter. Finished off with an excellent tiramisu. Highly recommended.

This place was right by our Airbnb, so after a day in Venice this was perfect to sit back and relax in a restaurant not packed with tourists. My pizza was delicious. Plus who can beat half a liter of decent red wine for 3 euros!?
