La Cantine, Bar & Restaurant in the heart of Plagne 1800, best Pizzas in town, Tapas & Guacamole Nachos, Photo & Art exhibitions, Good Music & Good people.
The food here is great after a day's ski. Delicious and pretty simple. I would recommend going here to anyone staying nearby. The staff were really friendly and it felt like a nice community place. Only downside is that because it's so busy all the time you MUST book a table and we only managed to get tables around 9pm as was all booked up. However, calling this a negative seems a little unfair as the level of people booking up is a testament to how good it is.

Friendly welcome guaranteed! Tuck into one of our hearty burgers or stonebaked Italian-style pizzas lunchtime or evening on our sunny terrace with a lovely view of the mountains. Enjoy our home-made authentic pizza dough, sauce made from Italian tomatoes,
Simple, straightforward, with lovely, friendly staff. There is noting extra special about this place. However the two times we visited we were made to feel really welcome by very friendly staff. They also do a great happy hour (or two) just as people are coming off the slopes. We did have a pizza one day and it was actually really good. So do give it a try when you are in Momtalbert.Later in the evening it becomes a young people's place, but early on it was great us us more mature visitors too!!

We visit Skanapia regularly every time we are in Montalbert. The food is delicious, particularly the tartiflette, poêlon and the salads. The service we get is amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful. Eating here is definitely one of the highlights of our stay and we look forward to our next visit.

My son and I stopped off for a drink just before Christmas - very scenic and sunny! Reasonable prices for the area and pleasant staff. We were staying at Aime 2000 so could not try dinner but the menu certainly looked enticing. Only downside was the trudge up the hill back to the chairlift

Really good place that is really worth seeking out. Very wide range on the menu from local stuff to some really creative vegetarian and vegan dishes for France. We went there for Christmas day and had some lovely aubergine gratin, vegi burgers and a curry!. Vegans are aliens en France so watch out as they try and sneak cheese in the vegi burger and when asked to remove it replace it with mayonnaise! Right by their own ice rink and filled with pisteurs at the bar its a really cozy place. Its a destination clearly and if you are keen to get back skiing then forget it for a while.

Pizzas, take away and eat in. Drink with alcool or without. And Ben & gerry's ice cream
What a great little place. It's tiny so make sure you book in busy periods. Very welcoming owner who was more than happy to swap mushrooms to chillies on my daughter's pizza without trying to charge extra as some places do. The pizzas were both reasonable and fantastic quality - large, thin crispy bases and lots of topping. Beer was about 1 euro cheaper per 1/2 litre compared to the rest of the restaurants in La Plagne. At the end of the meal the owner even gave me a free Genepi to help with the cough I had developed during the week - top man!!! Highly recommended!

We really liked it in here and the staff take care to pay attention to everything, its clean, warm, friendly. Sadly its pretty expensive so we didnât frequent too many times, but its a nice place to hang out after time on the slopes.Thank you Cherrypie, we are happy you enjoyed Les 2 Zèbres.

For those that know, a visit to this restaurant the other side of the valley from La Plagne is the perfect end to an off piste run from l'Arpette above Belle Plagne down to either Sangot or Macôt. You have to get a taxi up to the restaurant & back (or have a friendly non-skier driving!). This adds to the cost but this cuisine is well worth it. Jean-Pierre the owner and chef is a great host and will help you select a wine to suit the food. None of this will break the bank; this is not ordinary food at a high price; this is great food at a reasonable price. Jean-Pierre is a well known chef, teaches culinary courses and has had a cooking show on regional TV. He has a full repertoire of imaginative and innovative techniques. Both he & his wife Annie are very friendly & take great pride in their lovely auberge. The views are tremendous.

A warm welcome awaits you here. Very helpful and friendly staff, a comfy room and a beautiful view. I had a fantastic meal in the restaurant - only open Friday and Saturday at this time of the year . Breakfast also great. I loved this place and hope to go back. I have nothing negative to say - the parking is very limited though.

We went here for my boyfriend's 30th birthday lunch, and had a fantastic meal. They catered very well for our large group (18 people), the food was delicious, the staff were very friendly. We particularly appreciated the huge birthday cake. Thanks again to all the staff at L'Atelier!
