We had a delicious lunch at this wonderful little restaurant in the tiny village of Morgny. The service was excellent and the food we ordered was exquisite. We had a delicious scallops on a bed of leeks to start with followed by duck breast for mains. It was also very reasonably priced!Dear SuzieLee71,Many thanks for your nice message. We are glad you enjoyed your meal. You are our first Australian visitors. We hope to see you again for other holidays in France.Bruno His

This hotel is just off the main square of the very attractive and up market small town of Lyons La Foret. We booked on line. We arrived at the time we had specified, after dark in the pouring rain. We had great difficulty finding the hotel and eventually had to ask at a neighbouring hotel. They directed us to the entirely unlit and locked hotel. In the very meagre street lighting it was impossible to see what it was, there was no door we could open, no bell, no notice saying how to check in that we could see in the gloom. We went back to the neighbouring hotel and the receptionist grumbled that there should be someone there and she was on her own. It turns out that the two hotels are owned by the same person. The receptionist took us down to the hotel, led us up a very slippery and slightly rickety external staircase (not suitable for those with any mobility issues) unlocked the door and showed us into our room. Once in, the room was fine, nicely decorated, a good size with a smart recently refurbished bathroom with the full range of facilities and the bed was comfortable. We discovered the shower was a bit feeble in operation. Despite being right on the main street it was very quiet. We ate at the other hotel (LâLicorne see separate review by the same reviewer) as the restaurant in our hotel was closed that night (like everything else).Overall apart from the very poor customer service at the outset it was a nice room and we spent pleasant night. The breakfast was OK, served in the adjacent hotel in a very attractive well presented and decorated dining room. The croissants not great but, unusually for France quite nice scrambled egg and grilled bacon was on offer. I had to ask for hot milk for my coffee, clearly this was not considered normal, and the coffee itself wasnât great or particularly hot. Overall, not bad but not really quite worth the money (â¬95 for the double room â¬13 person for breakfast

This little cafe was the only place open when we visited Lyons la Foret on a cold day in November. We had a pleasant lunch of a large ham salad for 9 euros and a huge Savoyard bruschetta. Unlike other reviewers we found the service to be quick and efficient.

We were welcomed although we had no reservation and the restaurant was very busy. The service was professional and reasonably attentive, and our meals beautifully presented and flavoursome. The restaurant is nicely decorated, with exposed timbers and a window overlooking the kitchen so we could watch the chefs preparing our meals. The prices were high with entrees around 18-22â¬.Dear KatieClem46,Thank you so much for your positive TripAdvisor comment. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your time with us and that the decoration of our Bistrot and specially the service met your expectations. It would be a pleasure to welcome you in the near future.Best Regards,Eugénia Dobrovolskihh

Good service is the best I can say about this restaurant as the food was distinctly ordinary. It was very busy which is curious considering the meals. Our faux boeuf filet was quite tasty but the accompanying baked potatoes were awful, sitting on a pile of sour cream. The fine apple tart was drenched in a toffee sauce, and overly sweet. Those two dishes were â¬24 so not an expensive meal, but I would have happily paid more for better food.

We where thrilled to sit down to a good meal on a bad day, the room is lovely, the table well presented, but our local 2 knives and forks cooks a great deal better in Agen area , maybe it was the chefs night off
