There is an extensive and interesting menu at this Italian restaurant, for example Salmon Arancini. The food was all excellent, everyone praised their choices including the two teenagers. Portions are on the generous side without being huge and the non-pasta mains come with mixed veg and potato sides. I hope it stays around, but we were one of only two tables on a weekend lunchtime. It deserves to be because the food is very good and is clearly freshly prepared and cooked well. Well worth a visit.

We have just arrived home from a delicious meal at La Pergola. Our visiting friends we delayed in their journey to see us so we didnât arrive at the restaurant until gone 9pm. Choice was fantastic, staff were very attentive and the food was delicious! The puddings are to die for!!

Hartnett Holder & Co is a relaxed, stylish and comfortable upscale restaurant - full of character, yet unpretentious. Angela Hartnett and Lime Woodâs Luke Holder, with their team, create locally sourced English dishes with a respectful nod to the seasons
See my hotel review but in short our 5 course tasting menu with wine flight was lacking in all areas. The restaurant setting is nice but not beautiful, it needs white table cloths and silver service. It doesnât have a cosy, intimate atmosphere and the tables are quite close together. The food was disappointing to say the least. We enjoy tasting menus and have never been disappointed at previous restaurants - there is always a stand out course and wine but sadly this wasnât the case at Hartnett & Holder. One course went back as we werenât able to eat it. Of the other 4 courses there wasnât anything worth a mention. This hotel stay was the start of my husband birthday celebrations and thank goodness the next restaurant we will visit is The Vineyard (near Newbury). We have visited this hotel before and it never disappoints (top tip is try The Vineyard if you like to experience a tasting menu)

This stunning little charcuterie lived up to and beyond our hopes. We had a delightful meal for my mothers 83rd birthday. Small but cosy and eloquent, this little gems serves a vast range of cheeses, meats and indeed wines. The selection is very impressive. Our hostess was perfect in every way, obliging and friendly. It was lovely to see local produce on the menu too. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and I would recommend it highly. Hi 76abbihI'm so pleased you enjoyed your Renoufs experience. We have a great selection of local produce now on our boards, from locally baked breads, freshly picked spinach, local cheeses and charcuterie and more!Thank you for a lovely review. We hope to see you again soon.Best wishesTrevor and The Team
