Evening meal with family Friday during weekend break. I ordered salmon fillet which came with veg, it was superb. Husband had fish combo and sister and brother in law had fajitas. All excellent. Service was fantastic. Staff extremely friendly and polite. Venue was spotlessly clean. The view of the Loch was stunning. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going there again.

The main restaurant is stylish and informal, with striking baronial themed decor and intimate lighting that help pay tribute to the history of the building. This restaurant features an open kitchen, unique salmon bar and delicious locally sourced produce
Having dined here several times I would say the restaurant is nothing special and very expensive for the quality. The steaks are good, but not great. I recently had the venison and the accompaniments were terrible. A raw pear, skin on, cut up on the plate? Whoever thought that was a good idea shouldn't be working in a restaurant that sells 2 courses for £49 (though many of the dishes carry additional supplements).

went on Wednesday evening which does have 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £30 but decided on the a la carte menu. Prawns in chili and garlic to start, lamb schwarma main course and dark chocolate salted caramel tart to finish. I truly cannot remember the last time I enjoyed all 3 courses at a restaurant in one evening like this. Friendly chatty staff as well and good wine and beer selection. Well done Riverhill we will be back!

My husband and I had Sunday lunch here. We did 3-course meal paired with wines. It was outstanding, the whole experience: delicious food, great wine pairing, very attentive service, the ambiance of the place. The meal started with 4 amuse vouches, 3-courses and after petit fours. We ordered different meals and all of them were great as wines as well.Overall: Great value and wonderful experience. We would highly recommend this place and hope to come again.

We came her for my daughters birthday. Food was very well made and the view on to the farm grounds is great. This is a lovely place with home baking and true Scottish hospitality. There are llamas here also that were being clipped during our visit.

We stayed at an other property and have eaten our dinner here. The drinks selection was good with local beers. The food, well, it could have been better. We had the salmon starter, which was OK. Then the hake with wild mushrooms (tiny piece of fish) and the venison pie (with a blob of mash, no vegetables). Then we had the cheeseboard, which was OK, too. Would have been better if some special or unique Scottish cheeses would have been offered. Service was also OK, though it was not easy to get the attention of the serving staff.

We had drinks in here on a recent visit to Helensburgh and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience of the place! My husband and me remembered it as "the Imperial Hotel" back in the 70's when he was still in the Royal Navy... what a transformation! A very calm, interesting and peaceful venue - especially remembering the days of the "old Imps"! The staff were very helpful and the menu looked to be very good - I'm sure we'd have stayed to sample the food had not the grandchildren had their hearts set on fish suppers! We're so happy to have brought those fond memories! Thank you for your visit. We're bringing the hotel back soon so hopefully we'll see you again, maybe this time you'll stay with us for a night :)
