We sat right overlooking the river, great ambience and view of the old crane and buildings. Food was plentiful and simple, but very well cooked as is the German way. The tables were a little cramped but to be honest, the ambience was worth it. It was busy, but service was friendly and helpful.

We went there for dinner a total of 9 people. We found a table outside for 8 and asked the waiter if we could have another chair. He said yes and just pointed to a chair at a nearby table, showing no interest in getting it for us. Then he gave the whole group 1 menu. We asked for more and we got one more. No wine menu, so we had to ask again for this. It our kids hadn't´t been so hungry we would have got up and left. No one came to get the drink order. After 10-15 minutes they came to take the food order. The food came quite quick, but we had gotten no cutlery. The food was good. Both pasta and pizza. It took a long time for them to clear the tables. No one asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. We just wanted to pay and get to one of the many nice places close by for some good coffee. The total check was 126 EUR. We gave the waitress 130 EUR (and we did not want to leave a tip). She just took the last 4 EUR without asking and never came back. Avoid if you can. Instead, try the really nice Tante Käthe next door. Super friendly service and great quality of food

Average food. Very slow and a little bit rude service. Not enough space between tables. We will not repeat again.

We had burger and chips as it was listed in the menu as "homemade". Which it was. The menu is pretty standard German fare with a couple of favourites such as the burgers we had. Well presented and tasty, this is more of a "ad hoc" meal out rather than a special occasion but with prices to match. A decent enough place for a casual dine out. Many thanks for your review. We hope to welcome you back - one day.Greetings from the Lanzelot-Team

Entering the restaurant the service - although the restaurant was completely full - was very friendly. We had to wait for some minutes and then got seated. For warming up we got a drink from the house and then ordered one of the day´s recommendations: A steak with a potatoe in Alumium foil and sour cream. The steak was exactly as we ordered and very tender.

We have a pleasant lunch in Neptun's Fischhaus. We decided we wanted some fish, and this restaurant had good reviews here on TripAdvisor. Neptun's Fischhaus is a very decent restaurant, offering really tasty fish. I liked their flounder with potato salad, which was simply delicious! They also propose the seafood pasta and other mains. Even though Neptun's Fischhaus is a fish restaurant, vegetarians can also find something nice to eat. The service is very pleasant. We enjoyed the atmosphere and personal attention.Highly recommended!

This great find was within walking distance from our hotel. One can feel the good energy on entering this cozy bar. We got a warm greeting on arrival. There are a few tables. We sat at the bar.The tapas menu is written on chalk board. One could choose from a variety of tapas. We opted to share a tapas platter for two which included cheeses, shrimps, beef, meat balls out of lamb, potatoes just to name a few. It was delicious. There was also a menu for wines and other beverages. We had a bottle of wine which was reasonably priced. This location seems to frequented by locals.I highly recommend Ochis Barcelona.

We visited Lüneburg and enjoyed our meal, until the moment of payment came. In 2018 it is totally unacceptable for restaurants not to accept foreign Master- or Visa cards. Not even German Visa cards, only cash payments. And customers are not warned in advance. They are obviously expected to run off to the next ATM and get cash, paying the same amount to their bank.In Sweden that is unthinkable to instruct your service staff to explain that, because of the costs, that kind of service is not included. In that case the prices should be raised with 3% and cash payers should get a discount instead. But that is not allowed, and so is to keep a shadow bookkeeping for cash payments from foreigners. The tax office is not allowing that. Not in Sweden and not in Germany. Shame on you. Those practices are over; not adjusting your service creates only tax-traps for stupid Swedes who happen to visit your town and go home with an very bitter after taste.

We asked our concierge for a recommendation, and true to form a very proud cologner delivered one of her local favourites. This was a wonderful welcoming pub, with a great raucous atmosphere, wonderful service, and a good level of offerings and English language. Even vegan friendly, and gluten free offerings.Yes, there is a meet bias, and wine offerings are limited, but it simply works if you go with the flow.Important local tip.. if you finish your beer and don't want another cover glass with coaster, lest it will be immediately refilled!
