Reviews on European food in Luang Prabang, Luang Prabang Province, Laos. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the former capital of Laos, and you'll see everything from golden-roofed temples to vestiges of colonial French architecture here. Buddhist monasteries abound in Luang Prabang, and early every morning, monks process through the streets collecting alms (their food for the day). If you want to watch or participate, though, ask your hotel for a brief etiquette lesson first—you have to distribute the food in a specific manner.

At our Dexter Café & Bar in Luang Prabang (Laos) our guests will experience a hip 'international' setting - but with due respect for local tradition, heritage and style. Above all, our aim is to provide a comfortable environment that is 'cool' and 'comfor
This is a wonderful restaurant with a variety of food on the menu, many of which are Lao takes on Western food, like burgers, but there are also plenty of local, regional, and general Western options. The âBurger de Laoâ was as wonderful tasting as it was creative, and the dishes I saw go to other tables looked as good. Dexterâs food is a little pricier being on the main drag, but the prices were not bad at all.The restaurantâs main floor has a small, comfortable indoor/outdoor dining room with a comfortable cafe feel; I believe there are two upper floors of seating as well. The staff is friendly and efficient. I would definitely come back.

This restaurant has a pretty extensive menu, with a mix of traditional Laos options and fine French food choices. Everything from frogs legs to Mekong River perch. The service is great, and the atmosphere is relaxed, with nice jazz music playing. The location is a good distance from the main road, so the street is quiet, making for a nice dinner. Definitely recommended for a nice dinner in Luang Prabang.

After several weeks of Asian food, this restaurant could not have come at a better time! Pizzas were very very good. Pasta was also decent - and able to cater for GF dietary requirements. Only complaints would be it was a little oily. However despite this would not stop me from coming back! Would definitely recommend!
