Located in the quaint village of Mlino, Restaurant Sova is nestled by the shores of Lake Bled, just opposite the traditional âpletnaâ boat docks and the stop for the tourist train. âSovaâ is the Slovenian word for owl. Much like this watchful and mysterio
Here we dined out 2 nights in a row because the food was delicious. The service was effortless by the manager, Dominique and the team. Exquisite fresh and delivered with panache. The flavours were delightful. Exciting food. Dominique our waiter gave great suggestions of selection of food depending what we felt like. Matched with his knowledge of wine. I will recommend to friends and family also. To have such a restaurant to this standard in Bled is such a valuable asset to the area. Well done and thankyou for making my husband's and my experience memorable.

We went for an early dinner and enjoyed dining on the terrace which had stunning views. We shared Chicken soup which was really flavoursome. Hubby had venison with mushroom sauce which was fantastic and tender. I had spinach gnocchi with smoked trout. The flavours were good but the gnocchi was heavy rather than light and fluffy. Also shared a carafe of excellent house wine. Service was friendly and excellent. The home made onion bread was outstanding! I would dine here again.

Public bar Bled is a pleasant ambient daily cafe and night pub with great selection of beers, very fine coffee, healthy juices and vegan cakes and vegan burgers. Cozy interiors with state of the art sound system for best DJ in town mixing every weekend an
Delicious âautumnâ vegan burger made with pumpkin and chestnuts! The salad option is the way to go, itâs much easier to eat than the traditional bun. Iâm pretty picky about salads, and this one matched my definition of awesome. I liked the burger/salad so much I ordered the french-fried potatoes, but found them starchy and wasnât crazy about the sauce that came with them. I wish theyâd had a half-order size, as I ended up leaving most on my plate (and they werenât cheap). Service was slow but friendly. The burger/salad was served in disposable basket with paper napkins (boo-hiss), though fries came in a reusable dish (hooray). The place was difficult to find using Google maps, but itâs just on the second floor of that shopping plaza. Indoor/outdoor seating. None of the negatives were enough to drop a star when held up against the top-notch tastiness of the burger/salad. Highly recommended!

We ate at this restaurant twice during their stay, and you can tell it's really popular among the locals. There aren't many Slovenian-type dishes, and some left a lot to be desired (the tortellini wasn't too great) but they have delicious garlic soup, cheese dumplings, etc. I get the impression that they aren't used to so many tourists being there, but the waiters were friendly and nice.

We drove back from a car trip with the family and searched for a restaurant in this town. This restaurant was not on the main road, and the back side appeared to be adjacent to a football field. Everything was good here! The terrace is nice and spacey, but due to rain and storm coming up, we went inside. A man was playing accordeon in the room next to us. The restaurant sounded quite noisy, but id din't bother us. Real and friendly service, and a diverse menu with even 6-7 vegetarian dishes. That's quite a lot, I can tell you. And it all tasted good, made of fresh products and the whole family was happy, and prices are friendly. This is definitely a restaurant that's worth its (high) status of 4,5 out of 5, though you would not say so looking at it from the outside after you enter the parking lot.Highy, highly recommended, from the heart!

Restaurant set in an idyllic flower garden in front of an old farm house dating from 1843 with 40 seats inside. Regional cuisine, great wine list with Slovene wines, top desserts and live piano music every night. Daily from 18:00 - 23:00 (last order 22:00
The garden and the outdoor seating was beautiful. It felt so magical and fun with live piano music flowing out from the inside. The service was excellent and food was beautiful and delicious. We refusbished 500 years old cellar into authentic and rustic wine cellar. We offer more than 60 Slovenian wines. All we offer is local and Slovenian, craft beers, spirits, liquors, soft drinks, olive oil.... We offer authentic food, local dishes, as well
We chose the â¬35 three course meal with matching wines and were not disappointed. A wide range of local food and enjoyed the narrative around the matching Slovenian wines. Staff were very attentive and our host generous with his time.

We were very happy with service and variety of food on a menu. Food looks and tastes great. Comparing to some other places we have eaten at in Slovenia is a bit overpriced but is definitely worth visiting.

We went for a day trip to Bled and stayed 1km from this great restaurant. We had an amazing, tasty and definitely great budget dinner! Service was great, we got a taster from the kitchen which was yummy and the dinner itself was just awesome! Definitely go there!
