A unic place to discover worldwide wines and beers with a delicious dish made with passion
This spacious restaurant and bar is located in a commercial area, a bit away from residential areas.Food is rather creative (except desserts maybe) according to the trendy 'bistronomy' (bistro-style gastronomy).Good choice of French and foreign wines and beers and other drinks. We ordered the 'tasting menu' which actually is a fixed menu with appetizers (delicious), a starter (classic foie-gras), a main dish (lamb or cod the night we came) and a dessert. 39⬠not including drinks, which I found somewhat expensive. My food was quite tasty, with adequate portion size. Just the dessert was disappointing a bit (too sweet and more expected - classic - than the rest of the meal).Service is efficient and kind, thanks to them !Good, relaxed atmosphere. If I go again, I'd rather go for à la carte, without dessert.Thank you very much for your review on our restaurant. We'll be pleased to welcome you another time when you'll be visiting Provence.Best Regards

There are basically 2 set menus of which you can choose which foods you want. You donât have to have the set menu but we did and it was amazing. The food is excellent. Service is great. Very impressed. â¬100s for drinks and starter, main and dessert for 2!

This small restaurant serves good starters like sardins in oil and mussels. The main dish I tasted was a very good beef tartare with pesto combined to a fantastic salad.Thank's a lot ! A bientôt.

Do not start a one-man-operation if you can't handle it, like in this place. The owner is the only one hazzling around serving the food.We had to wait for the entrees almost 50 minutes. Maybe they were so time-taking to make? Gazpacho and Marseille Sardines straight served from the actual tin can, some bread and vege on the side. Kind of food that is ready made during the prep. The mains we received almost in ok time. The bill: he brought the bill and I waived the plastic, then had to wait more than 10 minutes, after that put on the cash and left.In this place there was no sign of the french precision in the restaurant where you basically never wait anything, more you control the time by eating slowly, otherwise you are out of the dinner in less than 30 minutes.Food was ok, nothing that special. Strange things too was that on the walls you have the menus, we had almost ten minutes time to translate them to english, then we were given plastic menu cards and told that the menus on the wall got old months ago.. On the Blackboard!! Can't they just wipe them out or refresh? Also, one thing to mention: If you have an air conditioning, make it work. Now it was just for "fun".To me, I got the feeling, that customer is not in the focus here, but the owners ambitions.

he restaurant is a small place known by locals. Homemade tapas with quality products. A large selection of wines from the region and the whole of France, but also spirits, beer and cocktail
We reserved late but were lucky to get two seats at the bar counter. Got there nice and early to have a few glasses of wine before dinner and that was a great idea. The wine selection (available in big or small portions by the glass) is varied enough for everybody to find a match. We didnât have a cocktail but the ones that came out from the bar looked good. Food is excellent. Had the mix of tapas to share then burgers. The burger is as french as I imagine a burger could be. Brioche bun, coarse ground excellent quality meat and a nice ripe cheese on top. Thank you for your comment :-)we are glad that you had a good time and that you enjoyed the homemade with only fresh products.See you soon,The whole El Primo team

The first time I visited Aix a fee years ago, I had lunch in one of the generic bistros that litter the town squares. The food was generic, unremarkable and overpriced. This time around, I wanted to surprise my mother for her birthday, so made sure to do some research before hand. Gambetta had great reviews, so I decided to book and I'm glad I did. While the restaurant isn't located in a scenic town square, the food and the service are top notch. Gambetta is owned and run by a lovely couple, with the husband in the kitchen and the wife at front of house. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. The 3 dish menu was excellent value and we all happily ate all our courses. The hostess was very friendly and insisted on giving my mother free coffee and ice cream when she found out it was her birthday. We all had an excellent experience and will definitely be returning on our next trip to Aix.

Discovered this place by accident... when I was too impatient to wait for the traffic light to become green and crossed the street via 'le passage'. There was a huge line waiting and crepes looked very tasty. There are salty or sweet crepes and they also have buckwheat pancakes. I tried the one with butter, sugar and fresh lemon juice, this is my favorite!

A unique place in Aix en Provence where you can discover our most beloved French national sport, The Aperitif!!! With a wide selection of rillettes, terrines and fish, meat or vegetarian spreads... Our famous "Croc poulet" truffled chicken sandwich, foie
I've been in l'Apéritif Français just to try to find a gift for my father (wine bottle) and I had a real lesson about "What is the French apéritif"... Thank you Pierre and Stéphane for this moment ! Really enjoyable !

Every time I booked a table at the Reboul I know that I won't be dissatisfied. The food is delightful, colorful and most of all tasteful, a surprise and an invitation. I like the light atmosphere there,in the summer or spring you can also eat outside the place is very peaceful and it always with great pleasure that I spend time is the château de la pioline.

The bistrot chic Atmosph'R makes you discover the "secrets" of our Chef Guillaume LEMELLE. A place of exchange, relaxation and creativity. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Brunch every sundays from 11:45 am to 2:30 pm
What a surprise. A hotel restaurant that serves anazing food, warm service in a beautiful dinning room. We had an excellent meal, original, fresh. Well prepared. From a truly amusing "amuse bouche" of potatoes and pickled califlower to an tasty rioast pork main and a tasty foie gras and artichokes ravioli starter. Pricing was very reasonable compared to the quality and originality of the cuisine. Worth a visit, not just a convient hotel dining room. Definitely make this a destination for a wonderful meal in Aix en Provence.Dear SeascapeScott,What a real pleasure to read such a good comment about our restaurant le Comptoir du Clos!We are really pleased to note that you enjoyed your tasting, our delicate dishes and especially our amuse-bouche.Our chef Arnaud Davin and his team will be delighted to welcome you again.Best regards,
