Our restaurant, renowned in La Seu dâUrgell, offers tasty and classical homemade cuisine. Based on traditional recipes of Catalan cuisine, our offer is suitably adapted to changing times and market products. Highlights include mountain rice, roast lamb sh
Ate here with some friends during a recent tour of Spain. The setting of the outdoor balcony area of the restaurant is excellent, however some refinement is required. We had not booked but we were quickly accepted and some tables moved together to accommodate the four of us, so how during this process the glasses for one of the settings was removed. This was only corrected when the wine we had ordered could not be poured for all the guests. I had the veal cheeks which were OK but nothing special. Another member of our group had the slow cooked lamb shoulder again this was OK. Service was a bit slow although this was not much of an issue as we were not in a rush, attracting the attention of the waitress to get the bill also took some time, not sure what the issues were as there appeared to be plenty of staff, perhaps just a lack of organisation ?

Charming little restaurant, many mountain dishes and fresh seafood. It stresses the seasonal cuisine with dishes typical of the surrounding mushrooms and game. It is one of the few restaurants around that serve seafood and fresh fish. Call to book before
We spent a while marching up and down the main street, looking at the unappetizing pizza parlors. Only some way off we found Les Tres Portes, a small (smaller inside than it looks outside!) village restaurant, with excellent dishes and some great Duero wines on the list. The portions are huge, service very friendly and all in all it was a great experience to find a place like that in Seu D'Urgell.

This was the best meal I had on my recent trip to Spain.
We visited Cal Ignasi full of high expectations on a recent Saturday evening. Unfortunately, the restaurant was set up for several large parties to start after we arrived. The waitress would not let us order off the fixed price menu, though it did not mention at the door that it was not on offer. Our appetizers were fine, but were served with little squares of hard rusk -- not bread as one would expect. (We know they had bread as later arrivals were given bread). Before the main course was served, the big parties arrived, and they were loud and demanding. The waitstaff was rushed and overworked. The decibel level rose and rose. Our food eventually arrived with an apology. My meat was very ordinary, and lacked vegetable, potato or any other accompaniment. My wife's fish was generous and well presented with tomatoes and potatoes. We could not take the noise, so we ate our food and left in a hurry.

The Katia Restaurant is a cozy place with a terrace and views of the Urgellet Valley; it has a fabulous open kitchen where you may watch the chef as he prepares a variety of dishes. It offers a typical traditional and regional cuisine with the best produc
The setting of this restaurant is that little bit special, with lovely views of the mountains and surrounding countryside. During the warmer months it is possible to sit outside on the terrace, which is an added bonus. The food is good with wherever possible an emphasis on local dishes and a good varied menu to choose from. The cooking is carried out within the boundaries of the restaurant and provides the opportunity of seeing your meals prepared. Staff are helpful and willing to advise on any choices made and there is a wide selection of wines always avilable. This has a very relaxing atmosphere to it and a place you can return to time and again without it starting to feel boring. Also I would imagine and excellent place for meetings over lunch/dinner.We want to thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.It was a pleasure to have you as our guest and we hope towelcome you again soon.Kindly,Hotel El Castell de Ciutat

Restaurant with their own name: Alt Urgell. In the restaurant of the Parador âAlt Urgellâ, which has direct access form both the street and the hotel itself, guests and non-guests alike can taste the delicacies and flavours of these Leridian lands. Exampl
We were staying at the hotel and were on a half board rate. We were given crisps and olives as an aperitif and then both had chicken, beef and mushroom cannelloni as a starter. This was followed by the Iberian pork for my partner and I had the chicken with stuffing. Desserts were ice cream and caramelised rice pudding with strawberries. The food was delicious and our server Jonathan was excellent. Very attentive and good natured. A very enjoyable evening in the restaurant.

This is a very typical brasseria.Typical food and typical service - friendly and fast.We tried quite a few things from the menu. The desserts - hahaha seriously huge and fresh. THe meats are very nicely seasoned and cooked in the open fire and you can taste the local goodness. The cost is very reasonable, 3 of us with 3 courses plus coffee was just â¬70. Service was great. The hostess very attentive and when they filled up (which they did) she very professionally recommended other similar restaurants in the area to people they couldn't seat. Very very nice person.

We ate here tonight. It is on a little back street in the small mountain town of La Seu d'Urgell and it has perhaps 7 tables. Very nice low key atmosphere, well lighted, modern, a small room with some blues on the sound track, low volume and non intrusive. Just a perfect setting after a big day in the mountains. I had the Salad Contrasto, a marvelous tossed salad that was totally fresh, especially the tomatoes and olives. Then I had the Salmon Confit, which was slow cooked and laced with a light covering of onions, olives and other well balanced vegetables, just perfect. I savored every mouthful. My wife ordered the Cod Amanda de Bacalla salad, which included cod with onions, olives, tomatoes, and potatoes, very light, very wonderful. I had part of it and must say it's one of the best renditions of cod either of us has ever eaten. She then had the Timbal, and she is a connoisseur of those; this ranked in the top of the pack of Timbals she has had anywhere, very lightly cooked vegetables and olives with a cheese topping. For dessert we had the cheese plate, and our waiter, who was a total professional, helped us select those. Especially awesome were the local cheeses from Urgell region. We had found this restaurant using Trip Advisor, and it's one we will be coming back to next time we are up this way. An amazing place to enjoy food and life. Also, we had the house red wine, which was excellent and highly rated on Vivino. A great wine selection in general.

We booked for two oâclock, but colsâ t arrive until 15.15, and were begging if the kitchen would still work, but received a warm welcome and best service. The food is of high quality (for example the Jamón Serrano) and there are more simple dishes (Eggs with jamón serrano and french frized) and more sophisticated ones (Salmon-Tartar or Magret). Out king dish was the Chuletón (Rib) for two persons: wonderful. We left sunglasses there and we fi und all facilities to fet tâhem sent by post.Very happy
