They were flexible in changing our reservation time as well as us being late for dinner. It was later in the evening so there were no seating after us. The interior and decor is very basic. The inside is nothing impressive. I think it lacked charm and coziness. I've been to a number of Michelin restaurants and I feel like it should have been more impressive. The service and server was great , friendly and knowledgeable. The wines they paired w the courses were excellent!! Well done I would say. The food was delicious and we both enjoyed our dishes. I just wish the restaurants interior had more character to it.

The area around the hotel is one of the most beautiful areas outside Copenhagen. If you go on a mountainbike, you can drive around the Frederiksdal forest and keep on to Hareskoven forest. The other way you can bike along the Furesø area (use a map), driving through residential areas and small forests. The Frederiksdal Hotel is a good place to eat lunch and this year they have started nice barbercue evenings. From the hotel you can also embark the small touring boats sailing around the Furesø.

So quaint! Had the Sunday brunch (12pm-2pm). Simple and taste fair. No menu, just a basic breakfast with excellent coffee.Walking around the old village afterwards is a great way to view the houses.

We probably booked the last available table. The set menu was well prepared & the chef happily accommodated a deviation for one person in the party. The staff were fun and friendly with the owner chatting happily to his guests. The lemon sorbet was exceptional. They have a great red wine selection.

Big Mamma's is a restaurant and a takeaway. I have been eating there at several occasions. In July 2017 I went there with my brother, and we kept it simple. A vegetarian lasagne and a pizza, with a carafe of red wine. The food is good, I have never really been disappointed there. The pizzas are well made, there is a good choice, and they always have extra chilli and garlic that they put on the table on request. As most other Italian restaurants they are flexible, so you can modify your pizza to your hearts delight.Other than that there is a good choice of starters and other main courses, and a decent wine list as well. The restaurant effectively consists of two rooms with rather limited seating capacity. The setup is cafe style in my mind, but nothing wrong with that. The price is set accordingly, so it is fairly cheap by Danish standards. Great place to go for a quick and simple Italian meal. If you want a longer seance or a more formal setup you might want to look elsewhere.

Jordnær is a modern, sophisticated gem that suddenly popped up in the middle of slightly old fashioned Gentofte. Of course it has made the native Gentofte citizens beam with pride. Our own Michelin Starâï¸!! And there certainly is something to be proud of! We had a wonderful & refined family dinner with a multitude of small dishes (tasting menu), each its own piece of food-art! It was beyond delicious and so were the wines. And we did get full, although we did not think so for a long time Highly recommendable!

I've been staying with friends for six weeks in Lyngby. This is defiantly one of the best restaurants in this affluent community. Low prices and large portions of good home cooked style meals. Despite the "pizza" in their name, Gordian is far from that. You can get anything from the standard Danish fare to great aged steaks and the pasta dishes are all outstanding. Close to the Lyngby S-train station it is easy to get to. There are little outdoor tables as well for those oh-so rare occasions when it is nice weather in Denmark. I've been at least six time and will return again.

My friend suggested this restaurant as being the best in the local area and within walking distance of her house.Apparently this used to be the canteen of the former factory, and some of the art deco style is still evident, although the tiles on floors and walls mean it can be a bit noisy. They did have an English menu for my benefit, but the waitress (and my friend, of course) had excellent English. The menu, however, is very Scandinavian, with the emphasis of fresh, top quality local produce prepared simply. I started with beautifully cooked scallops, just seared, presented on a bed of pea puree, with tomato, a parmesan tuille and a watercress garnish. Not just very tasty but also pretty to look at. My friend's main course was fried plaice served with in a light sauce with new potatoes, and she enjoyed it very much. I chose from the day's specials: very tender filet of veal, the flavour was wonderful, probably organic, in a very nice light chanterelle sauce. Again, in the Danish way, served with new potatoes, and there was also some celeriac. We both finished with a lime mousse, nice, although personally I would have preferred a slightly sharper, more zesty flavour - the mousse was served with some fresh berries on the side. All in all, very good Danish cooking - wholesome, flavoursome but restrained. We tried both a white and a red wine from their moderate selection of house wines, and both were pretty good and excellent value for money.Service from our waitress was exemplary, relaxed and friendly, but always professional which is not always the case in Denmark (especially in Copenhagen). Prices were more than acceptable, our bill was DKR1025 before tip (but my friend did not eat a starter). I would certainly go back the next time I visit my friend.

Homemade Italian food with delicacies from Parma and Emilia Romagna. Famous for Parmigiano Reggiano (the one and only Parmesan cheese) and Prosciutto di Parma (Parma ham). Parma is now ambassador of the Food Valley worldwide: the city has been declared th
I can't really compare with other Italian restaurants as my experience is quite limited, but based on my one visit so far I was very happy with the pasta dish I ordered. The dishes are made as per original recipe, e.g. the bolognese is not made with tomato as we are used to here, however this is how it has been done for centuries in Bologna. The pasta is fresh and the portions are generous. I came mid-afternoon at the weekend, where the place was packed and was worried that I would have to spend hours to get served. That was not the case, although it looked a bit messy behind the bar the staff were efficient and friendly, and I heard many customers thanking the chefs for their excellent food. Will definitely be coming back.

At the 150-year-old Raadvad Kro, hosts Peter and Rikke welcome guests in an idyllic pocket in the middle of the beautiful Jaegersborg Skovdistrikt - right next to Dyrehaven, only 15 minutes north of Copenhagen. The menu is inspired by the nature surroundi
Despite our GPS getting confused, we did find this place and found it was worth the search. We ate on the terrace under large black umbrellas. The lunch menu had about 12 choices along with a limited but good wine/beer list. Service was attentive and responsive. Food was excellent, fresh and innovative. Do try it!Thank you so much
