This small place offers a massive choice of beers and lagers and they even brew their own! Lovely ambience and service too. We ate a local cheese platter and tapas to accompany the beers and all plates were delicious and very good value for money. It is worth searching this place out, it is a little gem.

Well we did a preliminary visit here because the place we were staying hold a members dinner on a Monday evening. Although the setting was lovely, we felt the prices slightly exceeded the value and thought that our choices for the dinner (pasta, pie or bangers and mash) were somewhat unimaginative. Nevertheless, this is a good venue that we would revisit.

A relaxed Bar & Bistro Offering Excellent Cask Beer, Lager, Cider & excellent wines together with Locally Sourced Freshly Cooked Food.
We were tourists in keswick for the day and needed somewhere quick to eat. We are often used to paying for overpriced low quality food with bad service when in UK tourists towns. This place was such a breath of fresh air. The food was amazing, the staff friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Located on a bustling pedestrian street in the heart of Keswick, close to the busy market square and shores of Lake Derwentwater, Cafe Bar 26 is a relaxed Mediterranean style cafe bistro by day and a vibrant wine and cocktail bar in the evening with a uni
You check-in via Facebook which is a little unconventional but it was just what we required, a room only with ensuite shower which gave us maximum freedom. The room was regularly stocked with tea, coffee and milk and the towels changed and beds made which made us feel appreciated. The staff were friendly and efficient. The Cafe bar downstairs was a bonus for an early evening drink with trendy fashionable surrounding and great beers and cocktails. Their main feature was a vegan/vegetarian menu which they should have plastered across the windows!

The Bistro at the Distillery is comfortable and stylish, offering an informal and modern dining experience to its customers. One of our main goals is to embrace the spirit of the Lake District. We achieve this by using regional ingredients where possible
The restaurant is attractive and modern within the setting of a working distillery created in a renovated farm. The staff were welcoming and really helpful. The three course set lunch - using a Travelzoo voucher that included a tour of the distillery - offered brilliant choices of well presented, tasty food.

We've always loved Morrels in the past, especially their Sunday evening menu but rather disappointed on this visit. Usually when we've ordered roast beef we've been asked how we like it, this time told it came pink or would we like it "cooked more". When our food came 5 mins later it was medium rare so mine had to go back to the kitchen. It was returned a couple of minutes later, more to my taste but difficult to cut, the lady who appeared to be in charge offered me a steak knife when she saw me struggling. I did finish my meal and in all honesty it was OK but when we had left my husband told me he'd left his roast potatoes as they were too hard!! We will most probably give it a try again on our next visit as we've never had a problem in the past, hopefully this was a one off.

Please note that we do not take bookings.
We were visiting Keswick for the day and decided to try the food here. The weather was rather wet, so we were glad to go somewhere cosy and inviting. The food was amazing, we tried the pizza and tapas menus. All the food was cooked well and really tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful too. We were impressed that the chef cooked all the food in a small area behind the bar and we didn't have to wait long for it to arrive either. There was a bookshelf that had stories and colouring books/stickers to keep our three year old entertained too. Overall, a fantastic dinner and we hope to be back again soon. Thanks again. Thanks Jonny for such a nice review :) Weâre so glad you found cozy comfort in our small cafe bar.....It even amazes me sometimes what they do in that kitchen (if you can call it that ) They really do send out some stunning dishes! & itâs just what you need on a wet & windy day in the lakes.....beer, board games & good food! Really hope youâll be visiting us again soon :) Many thanks,Genna

We were looking for somewhere a bit special for a meal during our self catering stay at Braithwaite, more or less on the opposite side of the valley to Lyzzick Hall. We were warmly welcomed and invited to sit in the comfortable lounge which had great views whilst we enjoyed our pre dinner drinks. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. If we had one small criticism it was that the interval between the courses could have been a little more leisurely but this did not detract from our enjoyment of the meal, which was great value.

Award winning restaurant with rooms featuring the best of Cumbrian produce
Our family of 3 visited The Cottage in the Woods for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Setting was beautiful, food was delicious and service stellar. We would recommend booking early and requesting seats with a view (which for good reason goes quickly). We stayed in Windermere and this was 100% worth the drive!

Hearty, wholesome deli cafe during the day. Cosy restaurant in the evenings, serving great local beer and cocktails
We visited this restaurant in late October and really enjoyed the whole experience, we have visited Keswick many times and have never been in here before and wished we had. We didnât book but managed to get a table as it was early, the restaurant is well laid out and cosy with lots of interesting information about how the business came about. We were seated quickly and ordered everything together, the drinks came quickly and the food didnât take too long either. The menu isnât expansive but what they do is top quality and the cocktail menu is good as well. The prices arenât too bad for Keswick and this establishment is a step up from normal eateries in the area. Overall I would recommend the Fellpack to families and couples alike.
