Restaurant Winstub, convivial. Cuisine du patron, travail sur des produits frais. Cuisine sans prétention goûteuse et généreuse.
A scrumptious lunch of ham potatoes, sauerkraut, and salad with my wife. The server was happy and friendly, spoke English and guided us to some very tasty dishes. Just a few meters off the main streets provides a quiet and comfortable atmosphere. â¬40 for lunch, no drinks

+ authentic Alsatian food+ gracious accommodating staff + delightful assortment of fresh cabbage salads as an appetizer + good selection of reasonable Alsatian wines.+ Great assortment of fresh cabbage dishes for appetizers. An oft overlooked feature of Alsatian cuisine. Donât miss it.- Choucroute was soggy and blandâperhaps this is more authentic, but it was definitely treated as a side dish, not an honored staple.- staff was stretched thin the night we were there, although the restaurant was only 2/3 full.- Decor is rather tiered and uninspired.

I have been wanting to visit Le Buerehiesel for some time now. Our lunch time visit was very good but I can't help thinking that something was missing. Perhaps the room feels a little bit dated. And the dishes, while good, were a little underwhelming. That said, the service was excellent, and the young sommelier outstanding in his passion and knowledge of his carte - top marks here. The chariot du fromage selection and strawberry souffle were both outstanding. I would like to visit again.

We have eaten here a few times over the past 3 years and our experiences have been very average. The food was ok, service was inconsistent, and the atmosphere was cold and "cafeteria- like". But lately, there has been a big improvement. The food is now quite delicious (new chef?), the service is better and the staff is friendly. The decor is also warm (the Christmas decorations were nice and festive), and you no longer feel like you are dining in a train station. With very few good restaurants in Kehl to choose from, it is nice that this restaurant has become more upscale and is an option to consider.

So far, we have never been disappointed when having lunch or dinner at the "Alte Zunft". It's very close to the center, yet very quiet. Inside all wood and very typical, outside terrace very pleasant when the sun shines. The food is delicious, sturdy, reliable. The salads are great. The sevice is always nice: a place to recommend!

This was my first visit it most certainly will not be my last. The service by the owners is friendly and efficient. Every table in this small venue was full but you felt like you were the only person because of the excellent service. The decor was seasonal and beautiful. And the food, oh dear heavens, the food was absolutely delicious! Be sure to try the Mousse Cafe for dessert. Although this location takes some effort to locate; you will be greatly rewarded for your efforts.

Weâve been in December there with my colleagues, I felt like home from the very first..sure it reminds me Greek hospitality.Food quality amazing, portions are more than enough, staff effective and polite. Owner was friendly and kind with us, totally recommended it!!!

This restaurant lives up to its reputation for fantastic food with a nice touch of flair. However, as Australians trying to use the few words we have in German and French, we felt we were more of an annoyance rather than valuable customers. The staff were fine, but the owner's wife was abrupt.

Had passed this restaurant many a time and saw from its menu that it was somewhat different than sourrounding ones, including items such as lamb which can be rare enough in this region. Last week I went there with my wife. One could see from entry that the owners cared, quality of decoration, tables etc was given close thought and the people already eating there looked to have a quality of judgement in their desire to have a nice place to enjoy their food. The restaurant had a very large selection of wines, I ordered veal, which came with a nice salad and generous portions. My wife had the vegetarian. Service was very friendly and one was made to feel very welcome. The Polish lady who served our table informed us, on asking, that the restaurant was family managed for many years and great care was taking in only having the best ingredients. Very reasonably priced I look forward to my next visit, it seemed to have a nice beer garden out back but January not the time. When the sun brings me out on my bike I will be there.

I came with a friend and couldn't be more satisfied. The food was amazing, well cooked and perfectly served from the starters to the desserts. Also the staff was really friendly. I highly recommend it if you're in Strasbourg! Not pricy at all, especially considering the quality
