I regularly stay at the nearby Chateau de l Il and have eaten here several times over the past years but these days the place is empty and I'm not sure why. For the second time in recent months I ate there on a Tuesday evening only one of two tables . The service is adequate, efficient but not remotely friendly, the food similarly satisfactory, nothing more. Perhaps time to change the menu ( it hasn't changed at all in at least 6 years!) ? Not sure how it keeeps going but it's a pity because there is little in Ostwald and there really is nothing objective to complain about, you just don't feel inclinded to walk in when there is no one there so it's a vicious circle....

Idyllically situated at the foot of a watergate, this restaurant offers very sophisticated french cuisine and a selective wine list. The menu of the day is surprisingly cheap (14 euros in 2014), well prepared and pleasantly dressed, and the innkeepers are friendly and courteous. And on the terrace you are just a few steps from diverse yachts crossing the watergate. I would not be surprised if this restaurant can adorn itself with a Michelin star sooner or later.

This is the same restaurant that has been listed on TA as La Croix de Savoie. I am not sure why there is a duplicate but to help anyone who comes across this I will repeat my other posted review here.I had always heard of the French lunch and thankfully working in Strasbourg finally gave me the chance to experience this. From outside it looks like a small cottage but once inside, the restaurant is quite large. There is ample seating and each table has enough space to be able to have a raclette alongside it.Unable to eat meat and with nobody else willing to try raclette with me. I chose an onion soup with cheese and Crepe with mushrooms. The soap was piping hot and it's flavour was just right, not bland, nor too strong. I would have preferred my Crepe filling to be hotter but it was delicious enough so cannot complain. The service was good, and the staff were friendly. It was an experience to visit here and I am glad I found a place this nice off the beaten track here. Oh and if you are coming make sure you have plenty of time to eat, it would be criminal to try to rush lunch in France.P.S: There was not an English menu here so I relied on my colleagues and smartphone translation.

Staying close by I booked this restaurant for our first night in Strasbourg. We arrived early and were quickly and happily shown to our table. The menu is just the right size with multiple option but not too overwhelming. The fois gras was wonderful and my friend and I shared the canard with orange & cognac and the boeuf with mushrooms. Both were superb. Our waiter selected a bottle of wine to accompany our meal and it was perfect. PS. We dined here the night of the Christmas Market shooting. Our host kept us up to date with what was going on, made us feel very safe and were very accommodating.

I went to Aux trois fleurs with friends last year. It was Friday night and we didn't make any reservations. Still, we got a table and the service was very kind and welcoming. Food and wine was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Comfortable dining area. Staff was excellent, very pleasant and helpful. Good choices, good food, very reasonably priced. Plan to eat here all 3 nights I'm in town.

We ate on the terrace. It's a not really according with the classy interior, but it was our choice. They serve a nice summerly menu, 5 courses for 35â¬.It was all nicely presented, but all in all somewhat rudely and basic. The amuse said it all right from the beginning: pea soup, which was not passed trough a strainer, with rudely chopped radishes. It was bland too.Still, I want to be positive: it was all tasting very natural and cooked to perfection, no fuss. They have a fabulous winelist, although only French. But we are in France, no?Relaxed, friendly service.Website promises more than they serve.

We came here on way to Strasbourg airport with friends. It's part of the chocolate museum. Foie gras to start followed by chicken breast with seasonal vegetables then apple cake. Overall excellent food in a old fashioned 1920-1930s train carriage...

At 16 Euros per plate, the quality and presentation of the food was much better than we were expecting. I was especially impressed by the creativity and subtlety of flavors in my wife's side dish, in which I suspect they used the thickest part of a leek root. They also informally offered children's meals in beef, fish, or chicken at a very fair price. Highly recommended.
