As a family party of 6 we came here on a Saturday night and were given a lovely table in the window. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and were smiley and helpful throughout the night, replacing bottles and topping up drinks attentively. The food was excellent with fresh seafood from the specials board to start and for our mains having mostly ordered steaks they arrived cooked exactly as requested. The wine was also excellent and unable to squeeze in dessert and Tia-maria coffee finished off a great meal. Highly recommended and good value for money.

Breakfast meeting for a group of us. Ordered the Eggs Royale, but told it was off because "they hadn't had a delivery of hollandaise sauce". Really - out of a bottle! Anyway, I then had the sourdough toast and mushrooms, which was good. Service slow, but only one staff member serving at start of breakfast time before being joined by another as we were finishing.Good afternoonThank you for your review. I think there may have been a misunderstanding - we make all our hollandaise in house so it was perhaps the salmon we were waiting for the delivery of. It is difficult at breakfast to get the timings of staff in right as trade changes daily with no rhyme or reason so I do apologise your service was effected on this occasion. Another visit to this restaurant, and again everything was delicious. The restaurant is spotless clean, the staff were very pleasant and all the food was superb. If you are lucky enough to visit on a Sunday they have live music for your entertainment. A great addition to this lovely town.

Lovely that we can take our dog on a Saturday morning breakfast stop. Not a huge choice on the menu but the food is very good. The chorizo with eggs was tasty and the coffee was also nice. The service was very friendly & you can tell they are very proud of their achievements with this little cafe

I have never left a review on trip advisor before but after visiting the vine I needed to say something. Iâm quite a good cook myself and usually leave restaurants feeling like I could have done a better job myself. My partner and I just had a main course each as we were going for a few drinks after and as much as I would love to I honestly have no idea how I would ever recreate the food I have just eaten. Both of our dishes were absolutely delicious and piping hot to the last mouthful. The waiting staff were both professional and attentive. The chefs who were on show were amazing to watch and highly skilled! I have a new favourite restaurant thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

A recent Sunday lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday was better than ever.From canapes to the three excellent courses everything was excellent. Food well presented, very good portion size served by friendly professional staff led by Chris the manager. 'Michelin' star or not this restaurant continues to meet our expectations.We look forward to our next visit in December for a festive dinner.

Absolutely love this restaurant. Perfect service from start to finish. Excellent food. The steak just melted in your mouth. Superb attention to detail. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Will definitely go again, and highly recommended.

Visited Wells Bistro for dinner in Saturday night and we all loved it. It's a tiny place and almost felt like we were having dinner on our kitchen...in a good way! Very friendly, relaxed atmosphere and great food. Small portions but that's to be expected these in most places tbh. Will definitely be going back for smoked haddock scotch egg and sticky ginger pudding with marmalade ice cream!

Three of us enjoyed an early dinner on a Friday evening, having pre-booked a table. Two of us had been before and had really enjoyed the meal although finding the almosphere noisy.This was the case again, this time the cause being piped music. However, the cooking was excellent and the bill for three dinners and a bottle of house wine was fair for its quality.
