Winner of Best Seafood Restaurant at the Good Eating Awards 2013
We had lunch for my dads birthday but never again, after long time we thought was going to be better but nothing changed, always overpriced and slow service. We ordered 2 sea bream mains and a rib eye, the fish was just half fillet with mush potatoes and green beans for 18 euro, for that price can be better, there was no fish. The meat was nice tasty but on 10 oz there was 3 oz of fat that was left on the plate for 23 euro. The restaurant was not full at all but we had to wait over 40 mins, very slow..... and after our meal we had to order an extra portion of wedges and a calamari because everyone was still starving. We had 3 pints of beer and 2 coffees. The bill was 97 euro for 3 people in the end and nobody was happy. We paid over 30 euro per person to have only potatoes. Thanks million for the lovely meal.Hi thanks for taking the time to write your review. I am extremely disappointed to hear you didn't enjoy your visit. Tel: 806 3921 They've got a couple of rave reviews from newspapers displayed in their restaurant, but unfortunately I didn't note which papers they were. Their seafood was incredibly fresh, perhaps bought right off of the docks. We had incredible fried oy
Over pricy for what we had -Crayfish Liquine, dry and not much crayfish and â¬29 for an ok steak! Third person had fish and chips which was regular chipper style. Starters- we all had prawns which were pale, and tired !A lot of loud background music and with tables very near each other its not somewhere you would go for a quiet talk. Service was very good & great location... maybe it was our choices on night but didnt feel final bill actually gave us that much "joy".

A modern European restaurant serving seafood, tapas sharing platters, lunch and dinner. Situated on the West Pier in Howth we are spoiled for the freshest choice of fish every day. Our cold water oysters from Sligo are delivered daily and freshly shucked
Stopped for a quick mid-afternoon bite on a Saturday afternoon right before the evening rush. Fantastic service and so many good seafood options. Fried calamari rings were unbelievable!

Once a pier side fishing cottage The Oar House in Howth is now a busy restaurant while retaining many old features. Good, honest home cooked fish, fresher than anything you could imagine. With our own trawler bringing the freshest fish daily it's no wonde
This restaurant sits among many others opposite the bay and trawlers. You could not get seafood fresher. I ordered fish (cod) and chips with mushy peas. One of the best fish/chips I have had in a long time. Cod was battered, and cooked until golden brown, and crunchy. The fish was tender and tasty. Staff were friendly, and attentive. I would definitely go back.

An award winning cafe-restaurant-deli & bar in the centre of Howth village. Modern Irish home cooking of super local seasonal produce. The House is a great place for breakfast, lunch, dinner & weekend brunch. Outdoor dining in the sunny back garden. Take
This place is off the main street so frequented by locals more than tourists. The food was interesting and delicious as was the wine. The antipasti tray was small bites of several appetizers that could easily have been a meal by itself. Would love to visit again to try other optionsLocal photos decorated the walls and tables were white linen. The gentleman who waited on us was extremely pleasant and helpful.

We had a lovely evening here for a little family get together. Although we were late asking for an area for ten people a lovely member of staff Ian really looked after us and got us tables altogether to enjoy the live music. Thank you to Ian and all the staff of OâConnells for making our night extra special. Highly recommend this place

This place is phenomenal, I really loved the history of it and the way it is designed , the gardens outside look stunning but most important the SEAFOOD is extraordinary. It was a Wednesday and I ordered a Chowder and A seafood platter the waiter ( MARIO ) suggested me this meal. The service was great as well and Mario was a very polite guy and looked after me and my wife. He gave us some tourist attractions to visit in Dublin and suggested us to do the Cliff walk. We we're sitting next to a window by the fire and we loved everything about this place. Definitely will come back one day. Gracie everybody

We love the place, a real treat, great vibe, great service and excellent food, yes it's a tad expensive but well worth it in our view. A lot of people say they were not aware of the 10% service charge, open your eyes people, it is clearly stated on the menu, if it offends you, don't leave a tip.....Dressed crab on toast with a side salad for my wife with a glass of Riesling and I can very much recommend the monk fish and prawns in sherry sauce, superb mid afternoon food for â¬35.For sure we'll be back next time we're in Dublin.Actually love you!!!! Itâs amazing how people wonât take the time to read the menu properly but have no issue taking the time to go online and bellyache without the facts. You rock!!! Next time you come in let me know and we will give you some grub on the house

Had a lovely birthday dinner here food was lovely as usual. We reserved a table for 7 Allison Nessa and Shelley looked after us well.My boyfriend had arranged a delivery of flowers to the bar for me when I was there.Nessa helped him organise nothing was a problem even a little cake for me !. Even though it was a busy bank holiday sunday we were dealt with excellently. Shelley as usual taking our orders and checking we were ok. The other staff also were great I dont know their names. Overall was brilliant. I come here quite a lot. We were to move on but stayed till the very end instead chatting and having a few drinks.
