Lovely view, friendly waitron but my salad was not too inspiring. I chose the special salmon salad from the blackboard. At R 95 I thought it could have been a little more. My husbands peri peri livers were very good and quite substantial.

Normally I skip the restaurants at the beach. But this is a little gem. Not because itâs ran by Dutch and Iâm Dutch. But the food at atmosphere are great and what you look for in a restaurant like this. There always busy with locals, tourists and I just like it. And letâs be honest after 4 weeks of traveling in SA a âbitterbalâ is just terrific.

Most people visiting The Burgundy Restaurant, on the very edge of the bay and only a few metres away from Hermanusâs historic old harbour, always come back. Once you visit, which we hope you will do soon, you might well return because here you will be gre

La Pentola established in 1995 has a breath taking panoramic view of Walker Bay, the birthing ground of Southern Right Whales. The perfect venue for executive chef/owner Shane Sauvage's authentic fusion cuisine. All food is prepared to order, using only t
We visited for supper and could not made a better decision. The food was awesome and delicious. This restaurant is vegetarian and vegan friendly, so I did not have any single problem with the order. Our waitress, Chloe, was just perfect, she took so much care! I highly recommend this restaurant and hope to be back soon.

Delicious lunch and dinner options available on weekdays. Menus are planned using only the freshest seasonal produce so the blackboard menu changes regularly. Stop by to see what adventures await you!
Our first visit to this local restaurant, nice ambience with newly opened art gallery within. Our mains were beef curry with hand-rolled roti @ R170 - for a curry? but I assumed it would be worth it! - and Asian style pork belly with greens and pepperdew @ R175. My curry was distinctly average in taste and portion size and the pork was hidden under a mass of greens. Over-priced and underwhelmed for our meals.Good day OldButNewThank you for using Trip Adviser, unfortunately Trip Adviser wont be able to help you with your complaint. I wish you would have mentioned your disappointment to the chef and owner. I would have gladly made you more curry or even offered you a different dish. The Barefoot Cook just wants our patrons to have a good experience. I'm sorry this was not the case. Please come and visit us again and feel free to comment whilst you are with us. I love it when people give me constructive criticism. I am a big fan of coriander, if you do wish to order the Asian Pork belly again, please ask for less green coriander.Regards Anton

The Cuckoo Tree was recommended by a friend. It is an intimate, family run restaurant with a lovely garden, hustling with birds, serving fresh and "soulfood" meals. This "Hidden Gem" is frequented by locals, which is always a good sign when eating out, es
Firstly let me say that this is a lovely restaurant, the food is good and the service attentive. On that basis the rating would have been higher but we were disappointed as there were no vegetarian main course dishes on the menu and a few of the key items on the menu were not available. There was only one fish dishes for example so no choice of what to eat for someone who does not eat meat.

A warm welcome, all from the staff get a thumbs up, in a cosy place which we found via TripAdvisor. The food was good the wine too. One advise for improvement. The tables are tiny already for two guests. If you order a bottle of white wine as we did, it needs to be chilled. Placing the cooling on the floor close to the guests feet is not suitable. Consider a table mountable wine bucket or at least a wine chiller stand.
