This lies somewhere between the 3 and 4 star rating, it's fundamentally sound and the food is good, but the amount of other local options offering superior quality cuisine, atmosphere and service mean it is difficult to recommend this one. The menu had a good variety of meat and fish dishes, the principal ingredients of which had been sourced and cooked to a very high standard. Service was laissez-faire, the staff were available if we wanted anything but did not smother us with constant attention which was appreciated! It wasn't particularly fast, but certainly not slow either. The prices are at the very top of the local market, and whilst the experience wasn't unpleasant, it didn't quite match up. I definitely wouldn't recommend it for a special occasion.

Restaurant is located in the center of Guingamp, Chef Thomas Monfort develops a menu with fresh seasonal products. Traditional cuisine served in a pleasant (nice pleasant terrace and original room)
Visited last week and the restaurant is in a new location in the centre of Guingamp. I don't know if it's the same chef as previously but the food is not as good as I would expect at this price. The starters were well presented and enjoyed all round but the main courses were unimaginative and dull affairs, a bit like the wine list. Desserts equally disappointing. Service was friendly enough but there wasn't a lot here to tempt me back.

We were only in town briefly, looking for a nice lunch on the way to Saint Brieuc. Since we were running a bit late, we found a good parking lot and then quickly tried to find one or more of Trip Advisor recommended restaurants open on Monday. This was one of three or four on my list. I'm glad we found it, nearly full of local customers at a little past 1230. On a main street, with little decor to speak of, this appears to be a lean but hearty operation. The service was kind and prompt. There were several inexpensive formula menus. We selected one at 19 Euros and found the beet salad with goat cheese, pork tenderloins with vegetables and potatoes and a chocolate dessert with creme anglaise all of fine quality and substantial proportions. The blackboard listed a dozen or so wines by the glass at between 3 and 4 Euros, and the Rose d'Anjou was very good. All in all, a simple, convivial and central place where they know how to cook well and appear to bring in plenty of repeat locals. A good find.

Visited here this week - arrived promptly at 12 and wondered whether it was necessary to book - 20 minutes later realised it was as all tables were taken and potential diners being turned away as this is a very popular eating place with local businessmen & women. Despite this they manage both to provide excellent & well priced food (3 courses - 14.50 euros!), but also provide friendly and professionally efficient service. So do try it out if in Guincamp - but book! (NB closed Mondays).

This lovely restaurant is a little hard to find, especially at night. Our food was delicious and the setting very nice and upscale. Such a shame we were not there in the daylight to enjoy the view of the river. I had pork and my husband had fish. Both came in small, cast iron crocks. It was a slow night for them â just us and one other table. The waiter was attentive but not intrusive. A wonderful meal.
