Having enjoyed the walk about, we settled down in this comfortable brasserie and ordered a half litre of Chinon - a red wine from the Loire which is not much seen in England. Quite delicious and worthy of a better acquaintance. Pity we didn't have time for the other half.Thank you !!I'm sure you'lle have time for the other half for your next trip !!See you soon !Pascaline, Loîck and their team

Very relaxed and comfortable. We had a table in the enclosed part of the terrace - glass panels that shielded us from the wind, as it was a cool evening. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the galettes were fresh and not too standard, and the crepes were delicious. nice view of the church. Price was not too over the top, given the central location in a prime tourist town.

We dined here while staying in Guerande recently. The restaurant was recommended by locals but we were disappointed with the experience. We opted for the 3 course menu - starters were ok but presentation is very out of date with slices of lemon and cherry tomatoes randomly added to decorate the plate. Mains were faux filet cooked over the open fire - quite tasty. Service was attentive and quick but not warm. We chose a Faugères from the Languedoc to accompany the steaks - a good wine spoilt by being served too warm. The restaurant was full of tourists not locals.

We recently dined here during the Nuits Celtique festival with a group of musician friends. The meal was delicious and excellent value at â¬15 a head. Our entree of foie gras was fresh, plentiful and top quality. The entrecote was perfectly served à point with flavoursome home-made chips and crisp salad. The pichet of red merlot was haut gamme and again exceptional value for the price. Sadly no time for dessert as our group were due on-stage imminently. Café noissette was welcome after the copious meal. Highly recommend for a relaxed night with friends â service was efficient and served with a smile â the owner was hospitable and welcoming. We shall certainly dine here on other occasions when in GUÃRANDE â enjoy!Merci pour votre commentaire.Félicitations au groupe SOLAS pour sa prestation musicale.Revenez l'année prochaine !

Not really impresssed by overall (perceived) quality of restaurants in Guerande we finally decided for La Pierre Salee.Warmly welcome by the waitress, pretty nice, we opted for a couple of main courses as follows:- "magret de canard"- mixed meat " a la plaque" that's different kinds of meat you may cook directly at your table on a hot - plate and served with 3 different sauces- selection of cheeses and a dessertTotal fee â¬73 with a bottle of Chateau Charron Bordeaux.Overall good experience, not a top restaurant but honestly going....service was relaxed, absolutely not fast but when you're on holiday you don't care about it!!

Highly recommend! The dishes are elegant and inventive and absolutely delicious, with very fresh ingredients grown on site. The desserts are to die for. I got the salted caramel tiramisu, which was amazing, and my daughter loved the chocolate cheesecake with Mars bars in it, which I think is the best cheesecake Iâve ever tasted. The 3-course dinner is great value at 23 Euros for such fine quality (probably would be twice that in the US). The restaurant is situated in the middle of the salt flats so it has a really cool location. The building was formerly used to store salt from the flats, so there are some interesting architectural details dating to that usage. The owner has created a wonderful vegetable garden all around the property with exotic varieties of tomatoes, eggplant, etc. that is fed with compost created by scraps from the restaurant, so the whole venture is very eco-friendly. The outdoor terrace is very nice with some exotic plants. The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. If weâre in the area again, we will definitely return!

I tried the Menu Set for the day. I had Rump Steak and Nem Chocolat et Banane. Both of them were very nice, the Nem especially. We had breads as appetizer as usual, but with the salted butter, which is a specialty of Guerande. Very nice. The service was fast and the waitress was very friendly.

Unlike most of the restaurants in Guerande, which mainly cater for the tourists, L'Agape is a fine restaurant serving quality food and wines. There is only a small fixed price menu (29â¬) with circa 5 starters, 5 mains and 5 deserts but each are sufficiently different to offer a good choice. The food is very tasty and beautifully cooked. The service is welcoming and friendly. Just outside the city walls, I fully recommend.

A very nice tearoom to take a beak after an afternoon of roaming the streets and 'remparts' of old Guérande.I recommend the delicious scones, in particular. The owner is very friendly and the outside sitting area provides welcome and relaxing shade, a bit off the beaten track of Guérande's busy shopping streets and tourist attractions.Gourmet teas and coffees are also on sale at a reasonable price.thank you
