We wanted a relaxing dinner not a formal meal and found this restaurant in our hotel. It was a little odd finding a Swiss inspired restaurant in an Ecuadorian hotel, but what the heck, we gave it a try. It was good wholesome food. I was worried because we were the only patrons.

Service and quality is magnificent.Prices are costly but you will enjoy a nice dinner in a relative small establishment, Menu is not extensive but dishes are superbly cooked and presented. Wine list and other (alcoholic) beverages available from top quality brands

Sobre la comida:Entrada: * Tartine, es una clase de sándwich que se elabore con una sola rebanada de pan. ¿Qué tiene? Como base tiene verduras, carne y tiene al aguacate como cobertura. Por supuesto el ingrediente principal es el queso derretido Platos fuertes: Moro parrillero lomo fino: Este plato es completo, contiene una ensalada con aguacate , lechuga y tomate . El lomo fino lo pedimos 3/4 pero ustedes pueden pedirlo en su término preferido, el moro es muy rico, viene con bastante queso , e incluye papas fritas. The food is superb, the pasta is cooked to order and the seafood is fresh & tasty. Geanina creates a wonderful ambiance that makes dining a pleasure. this review is about the restaurant's other location, situated in los ceibos, north of guayaquil. 5 years ago i visited this restaurant's original location in samborondon, but decided never to go back because of what i experienced. after all this time i went back, do to some recommendations and because it is near my house. the minute they served some over toasted garlic bread, i regretted my decision. the place is very cozy and has a good decoration if you don't see the tables and chairs, typical patio furniture used indoors. the staff was cordial and very prepared. the food... now that's something else. people keep talking about the pizza. i love pizza and in my experience it is very hard to screw up a pizza. even $1 slices of pizza are better than anything i tasted here. the vegetarian pizza was simply tasteless. it had tomato sauce, cheese, canned mushrooms, red and green pepper, tomatoes and onions. the vegetables were visibly undercooked, unsalted, and just put in there for the sake of it. it was actually cold and mushy. i kept throwing salt, peppers and everything i could find to give it a little bit of a taste. the rest of the menu has your typical italian dishes at a $15 price range. the medium pizza was around $25, but you could eat for less than that if you don't order drinks and just eat a margherita pizza.

Came with great expectations from the reviews, but was quite disappointed. The Cesar salad was soggy and soaked in heavy sauce. The risotto with scallops was also very heavy and the scallops chewy. The whole meal gave me upset stomach. The decor is nice, though. And the waiter was courteous, though they could have offered a replacement when they saw me not eating my food.Dear traveler i am so very sorry to read your review, If you are still in Guayaquil we would love to make up for this bad experience. This is the formerly known âTratoria da Enricoâ which a couple of decades ago was one of the top restaurants in Guayaquil. While their infrastructure and menu remain basically the same, it has not aged well.Menu is extensive and wine list is acceptable, however certain dishes are not quite up to the standard a business of this category should present to their customers.Personally I stick to a âmixto di mareâ appetizers and a seafood pasta which I believe are the restaurants still signature dishes.If you want to have lunch in Urdesa give this place a try
