Even though the Provence is not exactly the province you should go to for crêpes and galettes, La Cachette is a rather safe bet. We always sit inside because it's cool and roomy, while outside the street is hot and narrow, and the tables are too cramped together to really enjoy your meal in peace. When my wife and I had dinner there last week, she had fried salmon with gambas and ratatouille, while I enjoyed the galette speciale (that is the fancy one with scallops, gambas and crême fraiche). With that we had a bottle of Bergère des Viogniers from the nearby Domaine des Rosier. Neither food nor wine left much to be desired, and the same can be said about the fast and attentive waitress, who, by the way, also speaks very good English.A few days later we came again, this time for lunch with our two-year old grandson, and we were equally happy, this time with the éventail de gambas (wife), the pavé de cabillaud (myself), a plate of frites and legumes (the little one), and no wine (it being lunchtime). Again the service was fast and friendly, even though there was enough action at the other tables too.

At 200m from the main house, our private Mediterranean garden proposes a natural pool, and an organic restaurant with a magnificent view onto the historic village and lavender fields. Weather permitting; the open air restaurant is open daily (from June ti
Beautiful surroundings for a summer dinner outdoors. Chef really setting a high standard and competing well with Michelin starred rivals. Indoor dining looks inviting for winter period. We will be back. Good wine list.

I had a lovely seafood salad which was served efficiently by a friendly waitress despite the affluence during the Festival de la Correspondance. Salad was tasty, fresh and lavish!

L'Eau a la Bouche (Mouth Watering) is a tiny, 8 table restaurant in the small and ancient village of Grignan. There was one waitress and she handled a full house with ease. The decor was charming - how can a 400 year old house be anything but charming? The food was spectacular. On our short trip to Provence, we ate in many restaurants, one even had a Michelin star. Nowhere was the food better, even at three times the price. The recommended local wine was great. Everything was perfect. I would eat there once a week, but the plane trips would be exhausting. Nous vous remercions de votre merveilleux restaurant, la nourriture excellente et très beau vin , et le service parfait et charmant. Nous reviendrons.

We ate dinner here whilst staying at the hotel next door. A nicely appointed restaurant. We had the 37 euros set menu which was excellent. The food was excellent and interesting and beautifully presented. It says it is a gastronomique restaurant and it is!

L'etable (The Stable) deserves its name - it looks like a former stable, at least the front area. We prefer the the back, which is a little brighter and looks more like a glass house. The restaurant is always packed, for good reason, and if you don't have a reservation you better come early. The food is fresh and tasty; the last time we were there for lunch we had two big salads, nicoise and norvegienne (with smoked salmon AND salmon tartar). which we both finished to the last crumb. The service is friendly but not very fast, and English is not their strength.

We came across this quaint little restaurant and truly was spectacular. The waiter spoke family good English, explicated the menu to us and suggested some excellent dishes. Portions were huge!! Very generous servings and as our waiter said 'made with love', which it was. Great value for our dinner, very clean venue and very tasty dishes. We ordered a huge salad, as I was craving fresh legumes, the mini ravioli's with fresh truffles and my husband ordered the veal T-bone steak with a mushroom sauce. All this for Euros 50!Truly fantastic! Great service! Very tasty and great value!! Definitely worth a visit.

Itâs time to put Clair de la Plumeâs Bistro on the TripAdvisor map. Even though it shares the charming location with the Gastronomique it has different opening hours and a different menu. I wonder how many of the, as of today, 610 reviews for the Michelin-starred Gastronomique have actually been meant for the Bistro â I know of at least one, written by yours truly two years agoâ¦Our party of six consisted of three generations, and we all enjoyed our lunch thoroughly. Four of us the delicious three-course lunch which was a feast for the eye and for the palate, the 4-year old the houseâs version of French fries (more wedges than fries actually), and the 1-year old the magnificent staircase into the hotel, which she went up and down on all fours how many times, keeping parents and grandparents alert throughout the lunch. We were very grateful that such extracurricular activities were possible and not frowned upon by anyone â probably another distinction between the relaxed Bistro and the noble Gastronomique.I should add that less than 30 Euros for a three-course lunch of such outstanding quality feels like a real bargain.Weâll be back next year.Dear Madam, Dear Sir,Many thanks for your review posted on Tripadvisor.I hope the pleasure of welcoming you again at Le Clair de la Plume.Warm regards,Jluc VALADEAU

Although we were extremely lucky to get a table on request (we arrived upon opening), we recommend booking in advance as people were being turned away as early as 20:00. It's popularity is clear: welcoming, with delightful menus to choose from, and what appeared to be an excellent wine selection. Our meals included plenty of local produce, but I think the highlight was my Wife's Aberdeen Angus fillet, which she felt was the best she'd ever had. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and we enjoyed our 2.5 hours there! My only regret is arriving still in our travelling clothes, as the restaurant deserved finer clothing, though, as per French custom, we were never made to feel that our attire was inappropriate.
