Friday evening 7:15 reservation. Seated promptly. Place packed. Table spacing similar to the busiest of Manhattan restaurants - immediately on top of one another. Service quite good. Decent selection of wine by the glass. Shared appetizer of artichoke actually quite disappointing. The artichoke was shaved pieces and lost amongst the arugula. Entrees excellent. Crispy duck and scallops. Desert of lemon tart quite good. Because the tables are so tightly packed we unfortunately had to listen to a recent college grad who was a self professed expert on all worldly issues. Although the experience of wine, food & service well beyond average the overall experience markedly diminished due to table spacing. At this price point quite unfortunate.

We were shopping and walked by this restaurant. The menu looked interesting so we decided to give it a try -- so glad we did. The interior is as eclectic and stylish as the menu. We started off with the Crispy Artichokes and Beet Salad - both were delicious. We don't eat meat so we had the Horta gnocchi, which was fabulous and Dorado, a delicious whitefish served with a perfect mixture of vegetables. Our waiter was terrific. He made great recommendations and attentive service. I think Gaia is one of the best restaurants in Greenwich.
