I ate here with 6 friends, the restaurant was really busy, but service was quick. The food was of a high standard, and no one had a meal they didn't enjoy. The puds looked lovely as well.

The food philosophy at the Lime Tree is that dishes are made here from fresh, seasonal, locally sourced raw ingredients, then made into something special by our skilled innovative Chef team 'The Lime Tree Restaurant style is one we have come to know as Fi
... friendly, attentive service. The food is nicely presented and well cooked. As it is said for restaurants of this kind of quality: worth a detour!!! Weâve liked the amuse-bouche: very fine goat cheese with truffles! The starters have been extremely tasty: - a âspecial kind of saladâ: Great Glen Venison and Green Peppercorn Salami, with a Mesclun Salad, Srathdon Blue Cheese, Apple and Quince Dressing and toasted Haggis bread Croutons.-âPotted Rabbitâ: A confit of Rabbit served with a Carrot Salad, Cornichons, and Orkney Dark Island Sourdough toast- Duck Leg Pithivier: Slow cooked Duck leg Pancetta Duck Liver with Ceps in glazed Puff Pastry served with a Red Wine JusAs a main we all liked the âDuo of Highland Lambâ: Pan fried Rump and Crispy Lamb Shoulder served with tender stem Broccoli, Roasted Cherry Tomatoes, Creamed Polenta, Salsa Verde and a Lamb Jus.The wine list is interesting: Go for the white New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and the red Australian Shiraz/Cabernet.

We ended up here as we were very hungry and this restaurant had a good rating in tripadvisor. Considering that, we were a little dissapointed, although the service was very very friendly and helpful, but the food was not what we expected. One was a little tasteless and the meat was not the best quality (tough).

Our unique location just outside Fort William at the very foot of Ben Nevis is THE place for great food, real ale, live music and bunkhouse accommodation. Popular with walkers, mountaineers and locals alike, the Ben Nevis Inn is found at the start of the
This place is a God send if you have just descended Ben Nevis.Terrific food served to hungry patrons on shared tables. We arrived after dark, from a tricky descent and managed to secure a table. Booking ahead is recommended. The chicken and haggis rumbledethumps are delicious. Lovely staff and good food.

We walked over from a nearby B&B a couple of times and were welcomed without a reservation. The dining room is attractively decorated and has a log fireplace. The staff is young, friendly, and competent. Both times we ate here the food was of good quality, well-prepared and (what I like best) piping hot!

My brother and I came to eat our first hot meal in Scotland at the Hotel Restaurant. The food was fine but immediately the atmosphere was strange. The manager (maybe owner) made several off-color jokes to us and we felt uncomfortable. He seemed upset. The restaurant was almost empty save for a few patrons drinking quietly. When we finished, we asked to pay our bill. After 25 minutes of waiting, we got up and went to the bar. Twice we asked to pay our bill, very quietly and politely. Both times we were ignored. The manager interacted with us several times, but always making odd jokes that were uncomfortable for us. Finally, my brother got up and went to ask to pay a bit more firmly. The manager made a sexual innuendo concerning our desire to leave. Like "oh you are wanting to get back to your b and b for some ..." My brother was mortified. He explained that we were brother and sister. The manager made another odd remark, but finally (after nearly an hour of us waiting) let us pay the bill. We walked back to our bnb in complete shock. Probably the worst dining experience of our lives. Both my brother and I have previous experience working as servers in restaurants and just could not believe what we had just been through. Do NOT eat here.

Relaxed lochside dining over looking the pap of Glencoe and the small islands of Loch Leven. Our menus is built around local produce and you'll find as much care goes into our infamous doorstop sandwiches as a dish of freshly landed langoustine.
What a wonderful surprise, after days of tiny hotels and nondescript breakfasts, and in a stunning location! A large clean modern room with plenty of space to unpack and repack, a large lounge area with a lake view for a predinner drink, a very lovely hotel dinner and excellent hotel breakfast the next day. And who knew I would like haggis? An option at the buffet breakfast. All staff went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful. Definitely consider this spot as you tour the Glencoe/Ft William area.

After being turned away from a busy restaurant in Glencoe village we were delighted to find a table at The Laroch. The food and service were excellent but unfortunately we were charged for a bottle of red wine instead of a glass. We didn't notice this till the next day and this was obviously our own fault but I emailed the restaurant about this a couple of days later giving them the full details of our meal and names of our servers but have not received the courtesy of a reply which is disappointing.Hi there. Delighted you enjoyed your meal with us, but really sorry you were overcharged for your wine. We are actually away on holiday at the moment, and so our emails arenât being monitored as they normally would be. We will be back home in a couple of days and will make sure you are refunded for the mistake. Kind regardsEileen
