Listed most recently in the Michelin Guide 2020, Castlehill Restaurant is a cozy, comfortable and welcoming restaurant in the heart of Dundee City Centre. Each dish, prepared carefully by our award winning chefs, we are proud to offer four menus; The Set
What a fantastic meal. All five of us had a very enjoyable evening here. Every course was delicious and beautifully presented. The wines we had were good and reasonably priced. Great waiter too, good fun and entertaining.Hi Margaret, We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your experience here at the restaurant that on Friday evening. Was a pleasure having yourself and your friends in dining with us. Your sentiments have been passed onto the Head Chef and his team. However thank you for taking the time to leave such a thrilling review for us. Kind RegardsDhugal PatersonRestaurant Manager

What a fabulous place. Refreshing to go somewhere that tables aren't cramped together first of all. A warm welcome. Great menu and amazing drinks selection, gin fans would be in heaven! The dishes we had were delicious, I particularly loved the pepper stuffed with crab meat and blue cheese. But is was all superb. Staff were fantastic, friendly efficient and knowledgeable and seemed to care if you were enjoying your meal.Would recommend highly and we'll be back. Thank you.

Licensed cafe serving awesome food and speciality coffee, seven days a week, in the Dundee's West End.
What a great find everything about this place was fantastic, decor, food and especially the warmth of the staff.I have to say the hospitality in Dundee is superb and a credit to the industry overall. My brunch was quirky and delicious my flat white top draw took me back to time spent in Oz where most say is its home.Dont miss this place it is one to visit. Highly recommened

Sol y Sombra has been Dundeeâs most popular tapas bar since it opened in 2011. Born out of a lifelong love for Spanish food and culture, we have created a menu of fresh, authentic and simple tapas. The aim is to recreate the feel of a typical Spanish fami
Booked for 8.30pm last night. Did not get seated until well after this. I advised I did not eat certain things and these were given to me not once but twice so that was 2 dishes I could not eat. My friend has a peanut allergy but was not asked about allergies until after a bowl of peanuts was out on to the table. Upon checking our receipt we have been charged for 8 drinks rather than 4! The waitresses kept leaning over us to remove bowls of food when we had not yet finished. We had the table until 10.30pm but 30 minutes in we had dishes thrown at us and we had asked for the bill. We were offered dessert menus but they never materialised. I have been to this restaurant many times but I have to say the service was appalling last night so we wonât go again.

Got a warm friendly welcome and indeed the staff were excellent throughout.Limited menu but what we ordered was cooked or prepared and presented beautifully.Good choice of wines - many by the glass.Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and all felt it was good value for money.Book ahead- it is a small restaurant.£10 each way for taxi from centre of Dundee. Some good bars nearby to round off your evening.

Visited with my wife and my parents on a Friday night. The restaurant itself is kind of in a converted basement / ground floor flat in the university area of the city. It's a good 30 minute walk from the city centre so is a bit out of the way. However don't let this put you off. The food is very fresh and the staff are nice. It seems that the owner is the chef and is constantly checking on the restaurant floor whilst cooking (a very busy guy)However the restaurant has a nice homely feel about it, although not cheap, it's not overly expensive and the food quality is good

For 7.50 pounds the menu offered pidgon and the poor unfriendly waitress recommended it. two smll poorly cooked medalions of meat the size of a tablespoon! This resturant should be imbarrased to serve such a rip off. Stay away from this Edzel joint; way to pround of themselves. worst lunch i've ever had in any country and a shame for Scotland.

What a great take away. We have had kebabs, curries, pizzas and burgers. We have a kebab every Thursday and it is always excellent. The friendly staff makes a huge difference to the experience. Faisal and Yusef are always delighted to see you and know most of their regulars by name. Highly recommended Jx

We try to arrange a stop for lunch here on our frequent trips from Aberdeenshire to Glasgow, ok it means leaving the dual carriageway at Forfar/Perth and hazarding the cameravan which seems permanently operational on the only stretch of road high affords the opportunity to passThat moan of my chest, the food and service afforded by the Strathmore Arms are very good, busy for Sunday lunch so worth booking. Donât think youâll be disappointed
