Went here for a business gathering. Big group but the service was very good. Food was good with reasonable choice. It is located in an area that is worth visiting i.e. protected old collieries which have been turned into museums, very interesting. Would go here again.

Had dinner here with a group of 14 business colleagues. The whole ambience is one off friendliness and efficiency coupled with great humour. Food and wine excellent and service first class all at a very reasonable price. Would return here anytime and highly recommended

This listed building with exposed beams and a large conservatory was a great find. This is an Italian restaurant with a difference - apart from the usual dishes which you expect to find there was a large selection of game. I went with a friend for Sunday lunch: her calves liver with fried onions and apples was voted a great success. I was delighted with wild boar steaks in a rich sauce, served with lentils and filled gnocchi.The service was friendly and efficient, the welome was friendly. We hadn't booked a table (next time we'll plan ahead) but they found us a small table in the conservatory. There was a fixed menu for less than 20 Euro. Our bill with two proseccos, a bottle of water and 2 coffees was 55 Euro. The portions are very generous and as a result we did not manage to sample the desserts (they did look tempting). The menu was varied, it was difficult to decide what to have - and every dish that was taken to other tables looked tempting. As a tribute to the game season there were a number of pasta dishes with game rather than mince.We would go back anytime, it was a lovely place for a leisurely lunch. We did no notice a reserved parking area but there is plenty of street parking close by.

Situated in the town's center close to the dome, this authentic German restaurant / bar offers the full "German experience". Wonderful ambience, full of locals, very friendly staff... and serving lots of traditional dishes. We had the Schweine Haxe and the Schnitzel...both great. Price very reasonable. Bei diesem Steakhouse bekommt man gut bürgerliche Küche. Vor dem Hauptgericht kann man sich am reichhaltigen frischen Salatbuffet bedienen. Die PortionsgröÃen sind sehr gut. Das Cordon Rouge ist zu empfehlen. Der Mittagstisch ist für die Pause perfekt.

Another classic German wirtschaft in the heart own downtown Gelsenkirchen Buer, right beside the church. Typical classic German food including all kinds of Schnitzel, Roast Duck, Haxe, they have it all. Great selection of German draft beer, be patient, it takes some time to pour a beer properly.
