We happened upon this jem o our visit to Taormina. A party of eight. They were happy to accommodate and we ordered dishes including seafood, pasta, beef and a variety of appetizers. Food was delish and the servers took great care of us! Gratze!Grazie dallo staff

If you like an intimate meal, spend quality time with your companion(s), listening to the sound of the sea, enjoy top fresh fish, today's catch, and wine, if you like to design your seafood meal, and enjoy local ambience and hospitality of local people -- this is the place in Giordini Naxos or Taormina!The restaurant is on the seashore, and you walk through very rustic and picturesque path to the place.Do not come here if you like touristic places or expect a 4-5 start hotel atmosphere or lots of marble or afrtificial hospitality, or if you can't communicate with people who know what they are doing.Come here if you are a foodie, like seafood and wine, want a place that is authentic, and is hard to find in today's plastic, uniform world (and are not a miser) -- try and you won't be disappointed. Don't believe the b..s reviews about bad service. We visited this place 12 years ago, and were absolutely charmed by the owner (Oratsio) and his team. When we came back a decade later, we were thrilled to discover that the restaurant continues to serve top food, and that Oratsio is hospitable, listens to what his customers want and obliges in every way, suggesting local specialities or getting things from the local market that you ask him to. This restaurant is liked by locals (so don't be surprised the owner may spend a minute or two chatting with his good friends) -- but other team members take care of you in the meantime.This year we visited many top rated restaurants in Palermo, Catania, a few wineries, but Sea Sound was the place we will remember as the place where we tasted fresh (uncooked) local sicilian shrimp (absolutely delicious!), best prepared (in my experience, in Europe) seabass in salt and excellent pasta and very tasty lobster. We went here for lunch and dinner for three days in a row, because we could not find anything better in Taormina. And of course, Oratsio was adding local ambience, chatting with us, making suggestions. It is like you are visiting a Sicilian family (as a guest, of course).If I had a choice, I would prefer this restaurant due to its top fresh seafood and rustic atmosphere, to many top places in London, Paris, Rome....

Beautiful and rather "private" lido in the busy Giardini Naxos area. The area is a lot quieter than the neighboring long beach without being boring. They play good music, which improves the atmosphere even more. The restaurant offers great seafood dishes - they do not need to hide from other restaurants in the area! Their shuttle service is worth an extra mention! Lorenzo is a great driver and a real gentleman! Thanks a lot for everything!

Service here was extremely good. Friendly, fast, helpful. The chef made sure to come to our table to check if we were happy with our food. They accept any customisation of their menu and everything is made to order. Selection of drinks is wide and they're good. I had a caipirinha on the first visit and draft weissbier on our second visit. Very happy. They have vegetarian and vegan friendly options, which is rare to get anywhere. A place to cater for anyone, a real gem in Giardini Naxos, well worth a visit.

When you get here, the restaurant truly feels like fine dining, with white table cloths, nicely dressed staff and amazing view. We ordered veal and ribeye and was extremely disappointed. We asked the waiter if it came with any sides, and they replied yes. The meal literally came with meat and fries. Seriously the food could have come from a kebab shop. Most disappointing meal we have had so far. The meat was also extremely overcooked.

The best restaurant in Giardini Naxos! Delicious seafood. I loved the spaghetti with clamps so much we went back for a second and third time within 10 days.

Sorry but this restaurant does not merit 4.5 stars. In my family's four-week trip throughout Italy this was our one disappointing meal. My pasta with sardines and side of spinach with garlic, and the burrata and tomatoes in my wife's Caprese salad were flavorless.. The bread was dry. Service was desultory except when the waiter pressed us to order sides of grilled vegetables to go with our fish, all of which were also mediocre.

Just been there with my wife for lunch. We got a very rich appetizer, per owner's suggestion and it was really good. it started with raw fish (tuna, shrimps, clams, sea snail and aromatized dried salmon ),followed by caponata, shrimp cocktail and, at the end, fried calamari and shrimps. Local white wine was nice, from Santa Venerina, a local town close to Giardini Naxos. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely a go and we will be back!
