Find out what European restaurants to try in Freetown. First settled in the 18th century by freed slaves from America, Nova Scotia and Great Britain, Freetown is a thriving cultural capital on the Atlantic coast of Sierra Leone. Standing in the center of downtown is the majestic cotton tree, a symbol of freedom said to have been standing since the first arrival of the free settlers. Other attractions include numerous beaches and nightclubs, as well as the Sierra Leone Museum, housing the Ruiter Stone and the original drum of Bai Bureh.

The Swan Restaurant & Grill offers a relaxing atmosphere with an exquisite cuisine to match. The restaurant consistently offers authentic dishes, with a fusional twist to please every palate. The modern restaurant, that is settled in quiet boutique hotel
I have to admit to being dubious when I saw 11 five-star reviews all from people who had only ever reviewed this restaurant. However we all decided to give it go. The greeting from staff on arrival was friendly and professional and that continued through the whole night. Mohammed and Theodora were excellent. What a great eclectic mix of dishes on the menu something to suit everybody and everything we ordered was delivered quickly, hot and all together. The owner came and greeted us at the table and made an effort to ensure everything was of a good standard, really nice touch. The food was delicious the wine excellent. Not the cheapest place but worth every penny. Wine is 185,000 a bottle. Starters range from 50,000 to 115,000 and mains vary greatly. For starters, mains, deserts and copious amounts of wine it was about 500,000 each. Toilets incredibly high standard. This is definitely somewhere we will go back to. Dear Enny,Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review of your visit to Swan restaurant & Grill.I am so pleased that you enjoyed your time with us.My team will be absolutely delighted! Both Mohammed and Theodora, and will be over the moon by your comments. It was our pleasure to have looked after you, and hope very much to have the chance to welcome you back again soon.Warm regards,Alain HaniGeneral Manager
It's not easy to get good food in Freetown. Let alone good food that's reasonably priced. More commonly known by the proprietor's name, which sounds like 'Madame Poussez', Rakama servers European and fusion food where main dishes cost between 15 and 20 usd.The food is exceptionally good, comes with generous helpings of sides, including excellent vegetables and service is very decent. The venue, on a back road off Spur Road, isn't easy to find but has a very pleasant atmosphere.Follow the War Child Holland signs. At the second sign, keep going and follow the faded sign for Rakama.
Thinking of where to go this weekend to relax, have fun, enjoy good meal and probably network? The one place to visit is LA PAZ RESTAURANT You can enjoy our wide variety of cocktails and fusions made fresh in your presence. The bar is opened all day. Also
my experience with this restaurant was awesome I've had tasty meals crunchy and ymmywow and the drinks was perfect I forgot about the shawarma you feel like you are in Istanbul having a Shawarma sandwich

We cater for birthdays , workshops , and many other occasions.
This time last year this restaurant was absolutely brilliant, unfortunately has gone rapidly downhill, the food is at best mediocre.Very slow service which to be quite honest is the norm for SL

Gigibontà is the only real Italian Ice Cream, coffee shop, Restaurant and Cocktail Bar in the Freetown area.
Iâve been at gigibonta several times during my business travels in Freetown. What a good surprise ! The food is genuine and tasty . Some of the recipes have been adapted to the local ingredients , without deviating the sense of the tradition. The bolognese is my favourite, I suggest also pesto and the fish âalla livorneseâ.If you close your eyes at Ice cream time, you will think to be in south of Italy. Highly recommended.
