Find out what European restaurants to try in Fish Hoek. Fish Hoek (Afrikaans: Vishoek, meaning either Fish Corner or Fish Glen) is a coastal town at the eastern end of the Fish Hoek Valley on the False Bay side of the Cape Peninsula in Cape Town, South Africa. Previously a separate municipality, Fish Hoek is now part of the City of Cape Town. Friends and I decided on this restaurant primarily because its menu was small. I am always assured that a small menu means the chef can use fresh ingredients and prepare each meal carefully. We were not disappointed..beautifully presented..fresh delicately flavoured food and a sophisticated menu. The service was impeccable and the chef engaging. This small place deserves to be packed. I will recommend this place and plan to return. a great experience all round.Dear LouiseWhat a fabulous review - thank you so much. We are really pleased that you have recognised what we are wanting to achieve. Fresh, lovely ingredients, prepared with passion and beautifully presented. :)We look forward to seeing you again soon.Kind regardsAnita

One of my favorite restaurants great food awesome staff, beautiful view that looks out onto the ocean and you can also see the Naval dockyard and ships...when you walk in you are greeted with a smile and you feel at home the surrounding make you feel comfortable. They have a great menu and lots to choose from and they also have craft beer on tap or you can choose from their bar selection. They also have a TV for the Saturday sport lovers and a sport finger menu if you do not want anything big ( but very filling and tasty eg.ribs to chicken strips and chips) they also cater for functions and their Christmas lunch if you dont feel like cooking that day...I fully recommend this restaurant.Hi Rosemary.Thank you so much for this lovely review. That is correct, we do cater for functions and also open on Christmas Day doing a lovely 3-course lunch. We do have a TV for sporting events yes.We hope to see you soon and also glad you enjoy the food.Kind Regards.Chef Sean
Tigerâs Milk is the best destination for âdude foodâ, made good. Our menu takes pizza, grills, burgers and beer to the next level. Weâre big on bringing friends together over mouthwatering food, ice-cold drinks, and a fun night out. Tigerâs Milk Kalk Bay
Went for dinner with a few friends and the starters and mains came at the same time and took exceptionally long despite a rather empty restaurant. Our one friend an a American ordered the Jenga nachos on inspection of the bill the charge was R335 for a plate of chips, literally a teaspoon of guacamole and sour cream?!! Insanity!! The staff didnât tell us about the drinks special and need way more training :( . The best part was the location and the ribs were okay but also overpriced as well as the wine!Hi Claire, Thank you for your feedback and kindly accept our humble apologies for all the things that did not go according to plan when you recently visited us.We are terribly sorry for providing you with such a disappointing experience, far from the way we like things done at Tiger's Milk and we will address your review with our entire team right away. How would you feel about letting us make up for our errors, would you be open to allowing us a second chance at all?If so kindly eMail us [email protected]: TM Kalk Bay - TR052019and ideally include the date and time of your recent visit. Our Area Manager will then be in contact with you directly to find an amicable solution for the recent disappointment.Thank you again for sharing your feedback with us to learn and improve from Claire, we hope to hear from you on eMail.Benjamin and the Tiger's Milk Team

Welcome to Cape Point Vineyards, uniquely set in the Cape Peninsula where the backdrop of the famous Chapmans Peak and the nearby Atlantic Ocean, not only make for the perfect terroir for world class Sauvignon Blanc, but also a phenomenal setting to spend
We went here with the family for the Thursday food market. The market was really good with lovely food, but to be honest, we founds the vineyards wines less than stellar. Still, if you are in the area on a Thursday it is a nice place to visit in particular for families with children.

At the Foodbarn Restaurant, we serve the food that Franck is famous for ⦠delicious and decadent âfine-diningâ style food but in a super relaxed and characterful old barn. At the Deli during the day, you are invited into our âhome-from-homeâ by the tantal
The restaurant and deli are two different places. This is a review for Foodbarn restaurant. This is a great place for a special occasion and offers really good French/continental food - and has been consistent over time. Quite expensive but value is reasonable. I do think it has lost a bit of the zing that it used to have - perhpas the famous chef - owner has moved on to other things.

Hubby and I were travelling as part of a group and our scheduled lunch stop was Dixies Restaurant. Please keep in mind that this review is NOT based on the menu as a whole but rather what we were offered as a group meal.We were served hake and it was VERY underwhelming. For many of the people in our group the fish wasn't even cooked and in fact, one of our travellers ended up getting sick.I will say that the food that was being ordered off the menu at other tables looked good as it was being served but I can't say the same about our meal.NO, we wouldn't go back.We are terribly sorry to hear of your experience at Dixies. Please could you provide us with the date that you visited Dixies so that we can do an internal investigation. It is a pity, that this was not reported to management on the day so that we could have rectified this issue immediately. Once again, we apologise profusely.

We found the establishment to be on the shabby side but perhaps that is the intent - service and welcome was poor and the food very average poorly constructed fare. Ambience just on a street overlooking a railway line - disappointing offering and the coffee poor.
