Such a warm welcome and a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was faultless and very well priced, the wine very good and the lovely staff were attentive and jovial. There are new owners to this very smart, tidy restaurant and they deserve every success. It is well worth walking away from the noisy seafront, a 'must' for visitors to Pleneuf, we were in Pleneuf for 4 nights and having enjoyed this lovely place went back for 3!

This was not a good choice. Car park, rain. Brasserie front looked inviting. Mistakenly thought few places would be open this time of year. Wrong. Nearer the harbour, out of sight from our parking spot were a number of good looking restaurants. The fact that this brasserie was pretty full of locals led us astray. Perhaps they were after the cheap Menu du Jour : an underwhelming buffet followed by mains that you can get in almost any cheap restaurant in France.Whilst the facade of the restaurant was quite good, the interior was characterless. The service was chaotic and you had to keep reminding the waitresses. There was a lack of local fish on the menu - disappointing for a fishing port. We opted for moules frites. OK, so you get a big bowl of moules but they become boring after a time. These had too many onions, plus I had a lingering rather unpleasant taste in my mouth afterwards. The uneventful frites were hardly worth mentioning. I don't know why we bothered - I have made better Moules Mariniere myself. My wife commented "This chef lacks ambition."Nice coffee. As a previous reviewer said, avoid. You can find something better.

We arrived for a return visit to L'Himbert on the 26th February for my birthday and were bitterly disappointed to find that it had in fact CLOSED DOWN just the week before!!We did manage to find another restaurant nearby which had just opened on the 23rd which was OK but it was not in the same class as L'Himbert. We learned from them that L'Himbert had closed, they thought, due to possibly large overheads. Who knows. I just hope that someone can take it on again as it was really special, had great ambience and served great food.

We ate here on our last night in Erquy. It was a lovely warm July evening and the view was perfect. The waitresses were friendly and helpful, we arrived late for the happy hour but were still given our beers at half price. The menu seemed a bit on the expensive side but we had the salmon which was on special and was beautifully cooked. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend Quai Ouest.

Turned up late evening with 2 kids (7 & 10) casually dressed (shorts) after beach day.No problem getting table.Service was quick, efficient, friendly.Drinks were quick, kids meals came super quick all in all great, quick service all round. Now the food....just perfect, I mean perfect for everything. Presentation, taste, texture, amounts, just perfect food and nobody does that better than the French.Gorgeous tasty fish soup to start with croutons and cheese to add as you like, followed by scallops and monkfish with lovely vegetable medley.Salted Caramel tiramisu for myself whilst my kids struggled to polish off the massive ice cream sundaes which was a bonus for mum and I who helped polish those off. This place knows what they're doing, does it really well, doesn't keep you waiting long and the quality is excellent. It's not the cheapest but you really get what you pay for here and I would go again next time we're here for sure!

We have enjoyed several lunches at the Relais either on our own or with friends and family. Each occasion was memorable and a success. On this grey Sunday in Brittany which followed many stormy and cold days, we were looking forward to our lunch at the Relais. Fortunately we had booked two weeks in advance as the restaurant was full when we arrived. A lovely room with a large fireplace, was dedicated to those wishing to partake in the special Saint-Valentin menu. The room had been tastefully decorated for the occasion and brighten the day whilst making us feel very welcome. Both the cuisine and service were of the usual high standard. We certainly won't wait for the next Saint-Valentin to return to the Relais!

We are eight backpacking the Emerald Coast of Brittany from Erquy in the west to Cancale in the east. It will take 7 days. So not to carry food weight, we have targeted a number of eateries along the coast. One is Le Petit Saint-Michel for a late lunch after some 12 km of trekking.Brittany is known for its buckwheat pancakes, or "galettes de sarrasin". Don't confuse the thicker, hardier galettes with crepes - not the same. Eight adults with different ages and appetites result in varying dishes. I can say that everyone thoroughly enjoyed the tasty and hardy fare here. Dining outside in the sun, and with a sea view just made it all the more pleasurable. If you find yourself along the Emerald Coast, and you want really good, fresh, tasty food, I recommend Le Petit Saint-Michel to you.

This is our favourite restaurant in Brittany. The food is far superior to any other restaurant and also reasonable. The three course â¬23 menu is spot on, each mouthful is delicious. The ladies who serve are very friendly and smiley. We have eaten here many times and its never let us down.

We were pleased to find this well reviewed place only a short distance from our campsite at Les Pins and went on the last night of our holiday as a treat. The food is not cheap but is very good value and beautifully cooked and presented by the husband and wife team. We liked the informal ambience which you don't usually get in a place with food this good. Highly recommended.
