This restaurant was well known by our Austrian relatives who has also had a special birthday celebration there in the past.We were surprised to find a quite sizeable garden behind the restaurant and enjoyed our food in lovely sunshine (under shades). We all had leberknodel suppe first - really, really tasty and quite filling. On the menu were schnitzels and a wide range of other traditional meals. We had a turkey schnitzel and pork schnitzel served with a lovely mixed salad which was nearly a meal in itself. The Schnitzels were huge also - very tasty.A few days later, one of our relatives picked up a rather large number of baked chicken pieces and potato salad from Falle and brought it back to his house for literally a feast. They were delicious.Staff were friendly, hardworking and good at their job.Well done all of you.Definitiely one to recommend.

Direkt am wunderschönen Faaker See. GroÃe Speisekarte- alles wird frisch zubereitet. Ãsterreichische-Internationale-Asiatische Küche.
We have had dinner twice here and on both occasions we were not disappointed. It can be crowded so early reservations are required. Reasonable priced dished particularly if you pick the menu of the day. Three courses for about 14â¬. Staff is friendly and you can sit outside if you like. Big portions and value for money!

I got the steak 250g with kartoffel, bacon and green salad...so, the steak, medium rare, was perfect and maybe the best that I had here in Austria!Half liter of nice red wine from Italy, a GOOD espresso (i'm italian), for 29 euro. Legit.
I love this place. There is a lot of seating but you will mostly find it pretty crowded. We always still got a seat where we could wait for free space in the first row at the waterline.

The Gasthof DER PLAMENIG is located in a place where you would never expect anything. The tiny village consists of a dozen farm houses, a church and a pub .... well this pub is worth a closer look: It is the home of one of the very best 'Haute Cuisine' Restaurants probably of entire Carinthia. Two well known cooks with international experience and rewards, Stefan Glantschnig and Manuel Ressi, create unbelievably refined local dishes, with fresh, original and harmonic taste. Everything they cook comes from the valley, the Gailtal. Prices for meals and wine are very reasonable and affordable. DER PLAMENIG does not need a website nor advertisement: word of mouth has spread the message everywhere in the country and people are traveling a distance to enjoy the treat. Get your reservation a couple of days ahead.

This little gem was a very pleasant surprise, despite the TA rating. Great bresaola starter, generous portions and a good proper pizza. Ample veggie options. Good staff in unpretentious surroundings. Good value for a holiday resort. Well worth a visit !

The restaurant Rossoaragosta has a distinct place among the Italian restaurants in the land of Austria characterized by professionalism and friendliness of its staff, a modern and attractive, from a varied menu of fish and meat from the impression typical
Had to drive to Austria several times for business reasons, it's finally a pleasure to stop and have a good meal in a REAL Italian restaurant in Villach. Real because, differently form the other places in the town where the only Italian things you can find are the (often misspelled) names on the menu, this place is run by Italian guys and, most important, the cook is Italian and all the fish comes from the Italian shores. They also serve good meat actually and pizzas, but I personally find most tasty their seafood dishes. Summarizing in three points: good quality of materials, reasonable price, careful service. I'll stop there again.
