We stayed here just for our first night during our road trip exploring Ireland after a long day travelling from London and it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel was lovely inside with a welcoming reception, friendly staff and a well stocked bar where we tried the local lager, very tasty and refreshing! We didnât eat here though as there was only one choice of vegetarian food on the bar menu and we fancied a wander around the town. Our room was just right with a lovely view of the local harbour. It was clean with a very modern bathroom (fabulous shower!) and the bed was extremely comfortable! Breakfast was tasty and sufficiently set us up for the next stage of our travels.

Lovely little pub with very good, nourishing food. We selected from the specials, and were pleased with the fare. The desert was a little light for my fancy - I had the meringue. Nice coffees though. Very pleasant to sit beside the fire as the night drew in. Very cosy, lovely staff (who were very busy indeed), nice lay-out. I would definitely recommend it for some grub.

Great to be able to review a local eatery. Not a great breakfast person but yet wishing to try this place, I did put my faith in whomever. Great welcome, efficient, attentive and welcoming staff, perfectly executed order and great value for money puts this petite eatery on my list of perfection. Thank you for welcome, food and attention.

We were booked in for a tasting dinner as part of the West Waterford food festival. However, with one of the party having digestive problems and my dairy intolerance it became apparent that the tasting menu was out. Rather than cancel, we asked if adjustments could be made. Danny the manager was so helpful-as was Roisin the chef. They came up with good options for both of us while our friend could partake of the 6 course tasting menu. Michael from the Wine Buff off-licence talked us through the wines and the communal tables allowed people to mingle which made it all very sociable. Thanks to all the staff-including Norah our waitress-all of whom went out of their way to make it a great night for everyone. Would highly recommend!Hi Bernie Thank you for the great review we are delighted that we could make your night special. Our ethos is to serve fresh home cooked food and to cater for everyone to the best of our ability! With this in mind we are so happy that we could still accommodate you for our food festival event. The whole team really enjoyed the evening and serving such great guests! We had as much fun as the guests did.We hope your journey home was enjoyable and we look forwards to seeing you again in the future.Best wishesDanny and team

Was here today with my family. Lovely friendly staff. Food was amazing. I had seafood pasta. Delicious and was full of pawns and salmon. My partner got fish and chips and that looked amazing. Dad got caesar salad and mam got a panini. Everyone left full and happy. Lovely ambience and nice and clean. Will be back

Very cold November day wet & miserable - Interlude offers the perfect, warming, hearty solution with their soup & sandwich combo. Delicious! Highly recommend this dish. For â¬10.00 you cant go wrong here. The warm baked ham & cheese sandwich is mouth-watering perfection and the tomato & red pepper soup was superb. Definitely worth going out of your way for this winter!

I ate here in September 2019 while on a visit to Durgarven with some friends. The environment is pleasant, staff friendly and food good. Good menu that is well priced.

During our journey stopped after visit in local Information Service, also in this Cafe. Looked at their delicious looking other offers / menu with quite large sortiment. This time we enjoyed only coffee, tea and small eatings with ice cream. Was just a suitable place to stop & enjoy, before decided to continue our Ireland south west journey.

The Tannery Restaurant, Dungarvan, Co Waterford. Modern Irish Cooking. Chef/Owner Paul Flynn.
Disappointing from start to finish. Bread was served as soon as we sat down. The stainless steel dish had dried in food stuck to side of it and there was visible buttery finger prints all over it. I later realised that these bread dishes were not sent to kitchen to be washed instead were kept in dining area where the waiter recycled them for different guests. Not good standards. After ordering a bottle of wine with our meal we sat there for half an hour until we got our starters. We had to ask waiter again for the wine. Usually drinks are served immediately????? Paul Flynn are you really holding your name to this restaurant. The pigeon tart was awful. The meat was over cooked so we couldn't even cut through it. It all went back to kitchen. The flavours didnt really go together. The tart was only barely hot. We both had same starter. Disappointed. Next course for me was cold throughout. The fish looked like it had been sitting under a heater and was definitely not fresh fish. It tasted off. The potatoes to accompany dish were stone cold and lacked any flavour what so ever. Watery. The "few" chips were not hand cut. Seriously.!! Only positive thing is that they were at least hot. I couldnt eat my dish. My husbands steak was good but he asked for medium and got rare. It was under seasoned. Got one dessert it wasn't great hot mousse poured over icecream so i got cold everything and hot icecream. Really. The ladies toilets could do with an overhaul. Filthy grout on floor tiles. I left this restaurant hungry. We never mind paying for nice food but this was robbery for what we got. We both love our food and can cook also. Will never again return here. Paul Flynn would want to pay a visit. Could have cooked better myself. Pity as there are so many nice restaurants to choose from. I dont like writing bad reviews but maybe something can be learned from this.

Am now a regular visitor to this establishment. Staff are friendly, efficient and pleasant to deal with. Food is always very good. Especially love the lemon sole. Childrenâs portions are very good. Seafood chowder was delicious as were the prawns. Good wine list though a tad expensive for organic wines but of a good quality. Highly recommend to one and all but do remember to book in high season and at weekends as itâs a very popular pub and restaurant.
