Visited today as I had won a voucher for afternoon tea for two. Very welcoming staff and good service, the afternoon tea was excellent and the cakes went down well. It was very busy with families which was nice will definitely visit again as all the food coming out of the kitchen looked good.

My friend and I stayed here for one night when we were walking the Annandale Way. Itâs such a friendly, welcoming hotel. My room was large, spotlessly clean, well equipped, and the bed was really comfortable. My friendâs was smaller and looked out on the car wash but it didnât bother her as it wasnât in use much. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. We wouldnât hesitate to stay here again or to recommend it. We had a lovely stay.

Due to holiday we are closed from 25.8 to 6.9.2019 We are reopening on 7.9.2019. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
Found this today. Itâs a wonderfully friendly little cafe and market. Excellent Hot Chocolate. The Honey cake is very different to normal cakes in cafes and is delightful. The whole menu is just different but looks lovely. Very clean and tidy. We will certainly return.

Contemporary casual dining by 2 passionate chef owners. Everything on our menu is made from scratch using great locally sourced produce. We encourage family dining in a casual but beautifully kept dining room. We can't wait to see you.
My wife and I have been to this restaurant 3 or 4 times and had enjoyed it., This visit was just short of a disaster . Not one major problem just lots of niggles. Arrived and waited inside door and waited some more. Had been told on booking that we would get best seat in house at window. Did not happen. It was 8 pm and the restaurant was hot and humid and so unpleasant that you were sitting there with sweat starting to dampen your clothes. Was given an apology for non air conditioning. I drank my first drink and had to go to bar to order second one. Waitress had found a friend to talk to for the 6 minutes I tried to catch her attention. The food came and was fine although the atmosphere was so unpleasantly warm that I just wanted out. Asked for bill and hen waited again. After 10 minutes had had enough and went to counter to ask again for bill. Paid and left. And will not be back. This place has either gone downhill fast or were having a real bad night. I will never know as we will not be back.

An absolute gem of a Bistro. An interesting venue but once inside the fun really begins. The owner explains the menu which makes a change from a teenager who has to go to the kitchen and ask about every enquiry. Certainly the best steak I've had this side of the Atlantic. Wanted to go back the following night but they close on Sundays.

Visited here on Saturday evening 30th March. Visiting a friend who stays in Dumfries. What a great restaurant. I was impressed with the staff. All are young people (who usually get bad stick from some people) one wad nicer than the other. Very relaxed atmosphere. Ordered fish and it took a bit longer to cook. Waiter came over to apologise but to be honest we were that busy chatting we didn't notice the time. Both our meals were fantastic. Cooked to perfection as were the vegetables. Good selection of drinks. In all we had a very good ecperience. When I'm next in Dumfries I hope to visit. Was really taken how lovely the staff were. Also compliments to the Chef.

Dined at La Dolce Vita tonight. Having a break in Dumfries. Really nice atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. Starter of chunky vegetable soup was delicious, probably the best vegetable soup I have had whilst eating out. It was accompanied by a lovely piece of tasty bread. My husband had the seafood pizza which he said was very nice, lots of prawns, mussels and squid, and my mushroom risotto was amazing. Large chunks of Porcini mushrooms and perfectly cooked rice. What was nice as well was the fact that I was given a bowl of Parmesan cheese and it was not just grated on top when they brought my meal. Very reasonable price for the quality of the food. A return visit is a must! Many thanks to the waitress who ran after me down the street because I had forgotten my handbag!!!! I am so grateful. My excuse, I was distracted by the gorgeous food.
