Usually when I stay at this hotel I'm on business, and often dining alone. Dinner at the bar is quite nice in the winter, and in the biergarten when the weather is good. Local dishes, quite a variety, and the sauerbraten is bery good.

I stumbled into this rather traditional establishment with a three year old family member, her bike and our Hovawart dog. I was pleased to see that the place wasn't overly crowded - the mail clientele seemed to be older couples enjoying a Sunday afternoon out together. We settled ourselves down and a stern but pleasant young man took our order - a cafe macchiato, hot milk chocolate (cold not available) and one plate of warm apple strudel, with vanilla ice and vanilla sauce to share. Well, the intention was to share but my three year old companion had other ideas. When it came to pay I got my 3 year old to hand over the money. It wasn't cheap but I suppose it's what you have to expect in such a lovely little old town.
Worth popping by to spend a few hours there. There is a tourist info shop towards the back and several restaurants to choose from.Interesting town with an interesting history.

This restaurant is may be the best in town. Monheim has only 43.000 inhabitants and the choice of restaurants is limited. However this one has a very nice modern interior and a nice terrace on which you can enjoy a view over the river Rhine. The food in general is good and there are also set menu options at reasonable prices at lunch and dinner time.Another nice issue is the option to book for a price of around 50Euro per head a 3-4 course menu with wine included. They offer monthly specials as well.

Restaurant is located on the banks of the Rhine River, not far from the Benrath Palace, in case you wish to spend a day riding bicycle and combine it with delicious, romantic dinner. The restaurant is decorated resembling its fishery background (as the name suggests). We had goat cheese wrapped in puff pastry with orange coulis for starters, fishes for main (Dorade, Sole), and tankabean creme broule with rose bud sorbet and fresh fruits. All were fantastic! The fish was fresh, not frozen, something extraordinary for Dusseldorf. We were lucky with the weather as had it rained, we would not have found an empty table inside. Reservation recommended!

I was in the area on business when a local suggested this restaurant to me. It was a little expensive, but the food was very good. I loved the mustard seed paste on the steak. It made it quite unique. If you are in the area, you should definitely stop for dinner and then take a stroll around the town. It was worth the detour!!!

We visited Zons earlier this month. The staff were very helpful and helped us to translate the German menu. We ordered a kebab and a schnitzel and both were delicious. You could eat in or takeaway and the prices were very reasonable! A very good find!
