I've read the mixed reviews, I think we got them on a good night. The gnocchetti and cured meats platter were both fantastic. Bottle of wine, beer, sparkling water, 2 meals, dessert (creme brulee) were all amazing and came to something like 50 euro. Too easy. Staff were great. No issues at all.

Had a reasonably good meal here, including steamed clams and mussels as an appetizer that was very, very good and very fresh. The pizza was so-so, with a floppy, soggy crust and the salad good, but fairly average. The setting is nice because you can choose a table on the ocean side of the road and look over the sea. Service is a bit slow and scatterbrained (eg. could we please have some dressing for the salad? And maybe some plates?) but friendly and earnest. Place gets busy after 9pm, so book a table ahead of time if you want to sit by the sea.

This restaurant is attached to a hotel of the same name, but it is open to the general public as well.
We took out a RIB with a 40hp outboard on it for a half day tour of the beaches and rock formations along the bay. Great fun & not crazy expensive, with fuel it was EUR 160.

The waitress was in a bad mood and the cooks let us know they were miserable too. They rushed us to order and the food was not good. I understand it must be really hard to work in a vacation spot like this where you are either working long hours or have no business at all. But staff from other restaurants seemed happy to see us. This place was off.

Seafood lovers-delight especially the Sardinian bottarga , dried fish roe. Had a bass that was cooked to my satisfaction. The femme had a great pasta with lobster. Nice service from a family run business who are doing the right stuff. Booking may ensure a meal.

Buonasera, abbiamo caricato pochi giorni fa le nuove foto del nostro ristorante. Non capiamo perchè, continuano a comparire per prime altre foto più datate
Many places are closed mid-afternoon for a late lunch Ristorante Cala Luna was one of the few places open. They are attached to a hotel and have a great deck overlooking the ocean. We have a fairly expensive lunch here, but the food and service were quite good. This place has a more chic and refined feel compared to the other eateries in Cala Gonone.

Il Nuovo Gabbiano Hotel Restaurant offers you delicious specialties from Sardinia and Italy, sometimes combining an innovative culinary viewpoint. We will reserve to you a warm welcome if you take a sit on the terrace with sea view, where you could taste
I have been for a week in Cala Gonone and every night I had dinner in il Nuobo Gabbiano. I came here with my boyfriend because the environment was lovely with the views to the port, the service was great, the girls came very often to check if everything was good and the food was fresh and tasty. Definitely I will come back

Very pleasant terrace with partial sea views and friendly staff despite being run off their feet that evening. Food was good, though not particularly inspirational.

I was there with my boyfriend twice during our vacation. The burger 0.2 was sensational. Also, the risotto with saffron was marvellous. I did not have such good risotto since a long time. :-) The owners were very friendly, open and always watching out, if we needed anything. Hence, also thumbs up for great service.

We stayed a month in Cala Gonone and this became our "go-to" restaurant for midweek meal. The pizza is very good as are all the other dishes. While everything is here for the tourists, this is probably the least touristic restaurant that locals might go to as well. It doesn't do the big seafood dishes like the restaurants on the Lungomare, but its the place you want when you just want a good pizza or pasta meal. In the summer there is a nice outdoor seating area across the road in the back. Service is good, but they are very busy so be patient. Pizza is good. Can order for take out too.
