I feel by writing this review I may help other travelers to avoid bad food and negative experience. We visited la Fratta for s late dinner on the first night of arrival to San Marino: service was good but ... the Food! It was terrible : seafood pasta was so salty we couldnât eat it and seafood itself tasted like rubber or old frozen food, tomato in salad was like the worst hot house tomato. So disappointing! Once again- service was good but put pity in your stomach... try another place.

My boyfriend and me went there since, the restaurant which we were recommended was closed that evening. To be honest the food was not anything special - the pizza was tasteless. The vegetables on it were canned, not fresh. The salad which we ate was fine. The wine wasn't good and the staff seemed a bit bored.

Came here because the reviews were good on TripAdvisor. And yes the pizza was really good but it's not so easy to talk with them. They have a TV and they let me see some football. Not so cosy place, it's like a fast-food restaurant.

A very romantic restaurant like in a cellar in the rock, nice decorated, felted atmosphere, for a perfect evening and a delicious menus; excellent antipasti, and pastas with vongoli (mussels), very good meat, roast or lamb, celebrated with a good wine and at last for gourmets, a great dessert. Il Piccolo restaurant, is to recommend.

Our restaurant is located in the heart of the historic center of the ancient Republic of San Marino, offers cozy atmosphere with panoramic views and fine cuisine much to devote part of catering to gluten-free cooking. Romagna cuisine with homemade pasta,
We came to this restaurant as it was around the corner from our hotel, we didnât have a booking but no problem, we ordered pasta, 2 different meals, had breads while we were waiting, then our meals arrived really quickly. They were very flavoursome, we added some chilli (as we love chilli) and we both tried a bit of each otherâs meals and they were both delicious. We had some wine to go with our meal and we were very satisfied with everything.Thank you for your reviewDonatella

We were passing through San Marino and spent only one night here. In the morning we were looking for a breakfast place in Borgo Maggiore and we were invited to have breakfast at Hostaria da Lino joining the residents of the hotel/auberge.At very reasonable cost we thorougly enjoyed the full, delicious breakfast served, the strong and tasty Italian coffees and, not to forget, the hospitality of the staff at this place. We did not expect anything and were treated like kings.

This was the culinary highlight of our trip to Rimini last summer and beat any dining experience that we had in Bologna, which is widely considered to be the gastronomical capital of Italy. Taking everything into account, this is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to.Having finished at San Leo mid-afternoon, I suggested stopping off for a walk around Verucchio, solely on the basis of having driven past it on the way there and having seen a picture of the castello in the village. Verucchio is a nice little village and I'm sure once the restoration of the historic buildings is complete, it will become a tourist gem. This place is already ready for that. After a walk around town, we opted to eat here after reading the menu outside. It's entrance just off the main square off the town, does not particularly hint at the beautiful setting inside. It's a superb restaurant in a beautiful cellar built on the side of the hill. The food is very cheap for Italy and is presumably because of the size or lack of renown of the locale, but this goes to show that price is not the best barometer of quality. The freshly cooked bread served in paper bags is a lovely touch whilst browsing the menu. We were full after starters and mains, but once we saw the desserts we could not resist those either. As we had been sightseeing that day, I perhaps felt a little underdressed in such fine surroundings, but I was never made to fill less than welcome for a second. Truly superb. I only hope I can find such wonderful hidden gems on future trips!Dear TMDaines,Good morning from the amazing Verucchio!Thank you so much for your kindly review. We are so happy to feel you so excited and so enjoy regarding your last wonderful experience in our old restaurant. We hope to host you one more time in next future!See you soon in Verucchio!Best Regards,Mirko Acquaviva

This place was recommended to my husband and I by our Airbnb host. We definitely felt like we lucked out on this place. A pleasant and wonderful ambience with friendly staff and very reasonably priced dishes. This place is a must when visiting San Marino. Opens at 7pm though. we lucked out on this place. We tried the 3 towers lunch set. It costs 19 Euro. It consists of a salad, lasagna, suckling pig and a cup of 3-flavoured ice-cream. The portion is decent. Food is good and the view is nice. The only thing is that the suckling pig tasted more like roasted pig.
