With the new Restaurant Management the food has got some Swedish touch and is better than before. Unfortunately most of the service personal does not speak german and the overall service experience has a lot of room for improvement. You wait very long until you can place your order, it takes ages until you get the food and if you are lucky you get what you ordered. The staff is new and still very uncoordinated, but the restaurant manager does everything to make the best of the situation.

Simpatica location di tipo alpino in zona centrale della cittadina di Disentis.Ambiente e accoglienza famigliare, menu limitato nella varietà ma cibo molto curato e ben presentato, vino grigionese di buon livello ma abbastanza caro, come sempre in Svizzera.Comunque il rapporto qualità /prezzo è corretto.

This is the place to get your bread. The house bread (a dark mainly wheat based bread), the Roggenbrot (rye based) or the Laventada, a sweat bread usually eaten at breakfast on Sundays and thus sold on Saturdays only are outstanding. Not to speak of the Birnbrot and the Nusstorte that can be tasted best with an espresso in the attached coffee shop overlooking the Salaplauna and the nearby Medelser alps.

We had an excellent dinner at Cucagna during the winter season. The staff was super friendly and the dinner was perfectly made. Very good, traditional Swiss food. The Røsti was amazing! Definitely one of the funkier pizzas we've had. It looked cooked but it was strange textured - we couldn't figure out if it was that the dough was old, that the pizza oven was not at the right temperature, or what. Service was lackadaisical. Wouldn't come back here and wouldn't recommend it.

Very old restaurant with all the charm possible. Boiserie, candles , old windows. So cosy. Bourguignonne, Charbonnade, Chateaubriand but not only! The cook - Herr Maissen - is also an hunter so in the hunting season you can eat beautiful meet prepared freshly with many dish sides.Always a big pleasure. Vielen Dank Frau Maissen und Herr Maissen!

I ate here recently on a Saturday evening. There's a good range of national and local dishes on the menu, and prices are reasonable. The food is good quality, and the service is friendly and efficient.

This place is nothing special to look at from the outside but right from the start the service was exemplary. We asked for tables outside and because they were slightly wet, the waitress wiped them down thoroughly. She then gave us all blankets in case we felt cold.We ordered burgers and salad - not that if you don't eat pork you will have a hard time, I had to have a halloumi burger (but it was nice!).All served quickly and looked attractive on the plate.

We ended up here twice. The pizzeria and the restaurant are owned by the same management. We were in Disentis for four days for a choral festival. The first night we ate gnocchi and lamb at the pizzeria. The second night we wanted capuns and rosti and went to the Alpsu first but their kitchen was closed. The restaurant was jammed when we arrived near 1pm for lunch without a reservation. Fortunately there was one table free. As they advertise themselves as a world champion in capuns, a Graubunden speciality, I had to try them - and they were very tasty, with cheese baked on top. The mixed salad to start was large and although nothing special to look at (mainly as the lettuce was on top and hiding the beet root, carrot etc underneath), it was very tasty. I would definitely go back for the capuns!
