Iâd heard good things about Darleyâs for a while so decided to book for myself, my eldest son and best mate, we certainly werenât disappointed....the actual place is set in beautiful grounds next to the river, the staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. The food was exceptional, I recommend the scallops starter and lamb cutlets, everything cooked to perfection

My wife and I cycled over to the Cock Inn for lunch and it was the first time we had tried this newly renovated establishment and we certainly weren't disappointed. It is a very popular, busy place but nonetheless the staff were welcoming and the freshly prepared food was excellent. As the food is freshly prepared there can be a little wait but it is worth it.My other advice to anyone is always book a table.Just one comment for the management to consider is for a secure bicycle anchor point(s) or parking area. Whilst one of your boundary fence posts did the job, I'm sure a better arrangement could be sorted just like the electric charge points for cars.A big thanks to all the team.

Many thanks to Jordan, Thomas, Simon and all staff in the Dovecote restaurant for an excellent celebratory Ruby Wedding family meal. Nothing was too much trouble in the preparations and during the meal. The service was excellent, the food absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend and we will return!

A small friendly resturant that specialises in Italian and British food.
Evening meal with friends at the Clock Bistro on a Saturday night was simply excellent as it always is, staff are charming and helpful, owner is chatty, but the food is the real deal its marvellous, plenty of choices on the menu and the specials are tempting as well, always busy, booking a must. Plus they have Doom bar which is great.

Authentic Italian Cuisine. Our Mission We purchase fresh produce every morning, which enables us to propose a different menu on a daily basis. We have gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options available to suit all personal preferences. Booking required.
This place was a great little find. For starters we had the gnocchi and portobello mushroom with goats cheese. Both were delicious. For mains we had sirloin steak and chicken. Both were cooked perfectly and came with delicious seasonable vegetables. For a busy Saturday night we did not have to wait long for our food to arrive contrary to some reviews that it took a while. The owner and staff were very friendly and polite and the atmosphere was lovely with the pianist playing upstairs. I imagine the upstairs seating could have been a bit noisy with the kitchen and piano in the room but in the basement area the volume was perfect. We will be sure to return again.

We'd booked here before they had won their recent award as best Derby resturant of the year. They are really deserving of the award! The atmosphere is lovely, the resturant inviting and importantly, the food delicious. A small but we'll planned menu and every course was delicious. We'll definitely go back.
