Presentation on plate could have been better and some dressing on the salad would have gone down well. Were has lettuce gone. The staff were quite good even though there was some confusion around our booking. We had a small child with us and they did look after her well.
We have developed an appreciation for good food over the years and consider that this restaurant/wine tasting does have the X factor. They combined great wine with the modern slow cooking philosophy which is outstanding for a impromptu lunch stop. Actually itâs worth the effort to drive from Wanaka to experience the menu. There is something for everyone, but I would recommend the lamb ribs, they are just what you need as your first sharing plate with a glass of their Chardonnay. Cheers.

Very good coffee here, creamy flat white, just the right temperature and beautifully balanced bitterness against nutty roast. Pastel de nata are a Portuguese pastry with puff pastry and a baked custard filling - delicious.Loved the decor. Beautiful bentwood chairs, tables with iron pedestal base. Lots of thoughtful touches including table decorations of locally made metal roses.

The Bannockburn Hotel is a Wine Country Restaurant and Bar is just across the bridge from Cromwell, a thriving township in the heart of Central Otago. We are privileged to look out over some of the finest vineyards in the world. Weâve seen the Gold Rush o
What an amazing find - to what seems like "out in the back blocks" for a city chick. Food and wine that would put many city restaurants to shame.First off, Anna's welcome and explanation of the menu was excellent. and great service from the other front of house staff. The tasting/sharing plates menu is a delight to read - and absolutely delivers on taste experiences. Each dish presented delightfully and easy to share with the four of us. What I especially liked was the fact that we received four of every taste - even if the menu stated "3 of" so no having to fight the other diners to get a taste of any of the items. The wine list is something else..... so great to have the opportunity to taste, by the glass, a range of excellent quality Central Otago wines - and at a very reasonable price. And once again, Anna comes to the fore - her understanding of those wines, and their food match is excellent.I whole heartedly recommend you visit for lunch or dinner. The establishment looks like the traditional old Kiwi pub from the outside, so don't be fooled into thinking you are only going to get the old-fashioned boring pub food.

The Winery Restaurant at Mt Difficulty provides a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy a delicious lunch. The restaurant is open daily between 12 noon and 4pm. On a fine day the outdoor terrace is the perfect spot to take in the flavours of the region whi
We've had lunch here a few times, and it new fails to please. You have to book ahead to get a choice of table - terrace in the fine weather (looking up the Cromwell valley), or inside in the cooler months. The food is just stunning, and if you do a tasting first you can decide what wine you want with lunch. Highly recommended - but book ahead, it's always busy.

The Office had a really nice atmosphere and was the seats were very comfortable. I thought the menu had some good options to choose from. I had the roasted lamb and it was very good and to follow I had the desert special, a sticky date pudding, which was also very good. Overall a very enjoyable meal and look forward to visiting again on my next visit to the area. Look forward to seeing you again, hope you enjoyed your stay in cromwell.
