My friend and I had planned to eat in Losinj, but passed through this tiny tony and saw the restaurant on the side of the road. What a find! The area is rolling grasslands, so the stand of trees and outside patio really called out. We sat in the courtyard, under a massive fig tree (and dodged a couple falling ripe figs!) and had a portion of the roast suckling pig that had just been pulled off the rotisserie out front. The waiter was so funny. When he learned I was from Texas, he told me about he and his friend, when children, and wore little tin badges and played "Walker, Texas Ranger". A guest at another table asked if we we lost - being on this quiet island so far from anyplace else :). It was a good meal, with good wine, and a altogether wonderful unexpected time. Exactly what you want when you travel!

The food here is really good, they clearly know what they're doing. You have an exquisite offer of fish and seafood as well as meats and pastas. The prices are on the high-end, but totally acceptable and in line with the local standards for a good restaurant. The only problem they have is that the owner or manager is poorly handling the business here. We were on vacation, so we didn't mind the delays much, but clearly the many waiters and chefs around do not have a good manager to properly guide them. Hence, some long delays in bringing the bill at the end, etc.: things that really ruin a very good evening. I won't be mean with that because this happens especially when you have a lot of clients, so my overall rating reflects the reality as I saw it.Big kudos to Klaudija (hope it's the right spelling): she did all she could to make us feel welcome and was the most effective of all waiters there.

I have been there for the last dinner of my holiday in Croatia, and it was amazing!I immediately liked that it is not very touristic, maybe also because it is not so easy to find. It was not crowded (beginning of September) and no need to book it in advance. The place is nothing special, let's say almost a bit squalid, but the food is excellent and the prices are really competitive! We took two spaghetti, one with seafood and one with shrimps, they were both really tasty and abundant! After, that we took 1Kg of fresh and delicious mussels, they were favolous! The seafood was very fresh and very well cooked, congratulations to the chef.Even the wine was good, the staff is very kind and the service is quick and responsive. We spent just 38⬠for two persons and for an excellent seafood dinner! If you are in Cres, you must try it!

Despite not being in the harbor and not having a seafront view the fish is here was very good. The restaurant was also highly recommended by the locals. We had a mixed fish platter for thebtwo of us. There was plenty on it. Good food, reasonable price...cheaper than the harbor.

As the title says, pizza was fabulous. They have good offer of both pizzas and pastas and everything we had was really tasteful and prepared with fresh ingredients. They also offer particular pizza with active charcoal and hence black dough which tasted great. The prices are also reasonable. Overall, a good place to visit when in Cres.

We visits this family driven restaurant since over 20 years regularly. Actually the son and his wife menages the nice restaurant with success. The standard of the food and indigents is nowadays is even higher than in the past. It's recommendable to book a table in advance, specially if one want to sit directly at the sea front. The service was very attentive & friendly, fast & professional.Nice cotton table cloth & napkins they have. Premium local olive oil on any table for open use! Very good white house wine from Istria called 'Malvasia'. The very good impression of the service was marked with an offer of an Amuse Gueule from the kitchen. For starter we had a wonderful fish soup and in white wine cooked mussels. During September the short tuna season for the fresh & authentic local tuna is running, so it was a must for us to get this unique speciality at this traditional place. The fresh cut tuna steak was grilled on char coal on the open grill midst of the terrace how it have to be: almost raw, cut in slices, topped with premium olive oil, salt & pepper, served over some leaves of arugula salad. Heavenly! The desert was delicious as well and we got a home made degistiv on house at the end.The price level is high, but if one compares the relation between the amazing quality of what one receives with the bill, this restaurant is worth any penny, almost cheap.Make sure you show up when one can sits outdoor, for the view towards the romantic harbour of Valun and the blue Adriatic sea is unforgettable!Compliments for the young crew!

When we arrived there was a vacant seefront table but the waiter said it was reserved. (It remained vacant for the rest of the night).Upon paying I requested a receipt and the person at the cashier pretended not to understand the word in 3 different languages. In the end he said he could not print a receipt if I paid in Euros, because accepting Euros was illigal. But he, not I, proposed that to me! Honest?

Mostly went there because of TA rating. Expectations were very high.Usually you have to take reservations. Otherwise, you will loose a chance to eat. From outside, nothing special. Even on the ugly side. Inside is ok.Service is excellent (at least when we were there)!Starter... lamb liver pate was full of bones! One star only. Home baked bread was ok, nothing special. Two cheeses good. PrÅ¡ut very good. Olives ok. Domestic red wine served cold! And not so good! 2-3 stars. We had mixture of food: lamb, calamari and ražnjiÄi.Grilled Calamari - like rubber, smelled like coal. Not Adriatic calamari!! Sidedish ok. 2-3 stars.RažnjiÄi - best part of our lunch. 4 starsLamb - we had grilled and mixture of 3 kinds of lamb. First, potatoes were the best. 5 stars. Grilled lamb was fair. In my plate, one peace was overcooked (hard as stone) and other part was bloody. Lamb parts were very tinly sliced! 3-4 stars.I donât understand the hype about this place. Mediocre food, no nice view. Nothing special! I was in doubt to give 3 or 4 stars. But because it is number one restaurant on Cres island I expected much more. So the rating is as you can see! ***
